Discuss: 2024.3.5 (FSD beta v12.3.2) Release Notes

What are you talking about!?! It's already up to 55 with 12 more scheduled. We're on a real roll here... 🤣

Discuss: 2024.3.5 (FSD beta v12.3.2) Release Notes

Well, they must have found something wrong with 2024.3.5 because it only rolled out to 1 customer (as far as we can tell) and they've already released 2024.3.6. At least they are iterating quickly. 😄

Discuss: 2024.3.5 (FSD beta v12.3.2) Release Notes

According to TeslaFi, this is the first 2024.x.y release that includes FSD v12.x.y. There may be hope for us "legacy" owners yet! https://www.notateslaapp.com/software-updates/version/2024.3.5/release-notes

Discuss: Tesla Launches Free Month of FSD with Live Demonstration Sessions

Maybe this means that the pre-refresh cars will get it soon. oh, who am I kidding?!

Discuss: Cybertruck Leads Tesla's Charge into the Wireless Future

This is actually a pretty interesting proposition. If (and that's a big IF) they can get the costs under control then it might become a standard to put charging coils in all (most ... some) parking spots. That way you remove the ICEing completely and no one has to even think about it anymore...

Discuss: 2024.2.12 Official Tesla Release Notes

While this looks good and I would like to get the update, most of these things won't affect me and my 2020 MX at all. I'm very frustrated with Tesla and their in-ability to update "legacy" cars. At this point I'm not even sure that I'll ever get v12 or that it won't be severely compromised if...

Discuss: Tesla Releases New 'Tap to Park' Autopark Feature in Update 2024.2.11

Yea, I'm in the software business and I have NO idea how Tesla is numbering these releases. RNG?

Discuss: Shell's Bold Move Towards Electric Vehicle Infrastructure: Selling Gas Stations, Building Charging Stations

I'm not sure if companies can get Federal money for installing destination chargers. My understanding was that it was for DC fast chargers, not AC destination chargers. And you're absolutely correct in that we have to still have fast DC chargers, and lots of them. I'm just not sure that they...

Discuss: Shell's Bold Move Towards Electric Vehicle Infrastructure: Selling Gas Stations, Building Charging Stations

It would be truly interesting to see what a fossil fuel company can/will do in an all BEV future. The thinking around creating EV "gas" stations is wrong. The only way it would work is if charging speeds get down to single digit minutes or even the low teens. I think a more probable futures...

Discuss: 2024.8.4 Official Tesla Release Notes

"View or Reset Tire Mileage" Awww come on! Why can't the legacy MX / MS vehicles get these features? What's so special about the new platform that we can't track our tire wear as well!? I love how Tesla constantly updates/adds features but it feels uneven at times. I mean, I have a luxury...

    FSD Ver. 12 Rollout Restart

It looks like 2023.44.30.25 was on a real tear over the weekend but the push has slowed down somewhat today. Maybe they are pushing v12.3 into the 2024.x branch or something. 🤞 NOTE: I'm currently running 2024.2.7 so I'm not sure how a "downgrade" to 2023.44.30.25 would even work.

Discuss: Tesla Expected to Release 'Actually Smart Summon' and 'Tap to Park' Updates Next Month

I wonder if this will also "fix" the Falcon Wing Doors doors on the refreshed MX cars. As I understand it the refreshed cars don't have all the sensors that the legacy MX vehicles do and the FWD have to rely on camera information to avoid obstacles. This is one reason that I like my 2020 MX...

    FSD Ver. 12 Rollout Restart

Well, it looks like 2023.44.30.25 is really on a roll-out. It's already up to 1% of the fleet, according to the statistics page. 🎉

Discuss: Tesla Update 2024.8 Brings New Menus for WiFi and Bluetooth; Changes to Turn Signal Icons and Hold Mode

I'm very happy to see the turn signals get clarified. I sometimes have a hard time determining which turn signal is on at a glance, especially if the display is dark.

Discuss: 2024.8 Official Tesla Release Notes

Ooooo... I like that "One-Time Charge" option; it's a simple feature that would really come in handy. And come on USA lighting regulations - step into the 20th century!

Discuss: 2023.44.30.25 (FSD Beta v12.3) Release Notes

You know, after all this time I'm super afraid that I will be disappointed. I mean, I've built it up in my head to be pretty good and I'm not sure v12 can live up to my vision. Also, I'm kinda scared that it will require v4 hardware and my 2020 MX will not be sufficient. 😱

Discuss: Tesla's FSD Beta 12.2.1 Update is Rolling out to Employees, Hinting at Full Deployment

I'm not really expecting it to be perfect (I don't think that will ever happen) but I do want to get my hands on it to give it a try. All the videos I'm seeing of v12 are AMAZING and even with it's flaws it's miles ahead of v11.

Oh, and it looks like Rivian screwed this up on the R2/R3. The connector is on the rear passenger. Arrrggghhh!!! 😡

Discuss: Rivian R2 Specs: The Leak That's Got Tesla's Fanbase Curious

I just watched Marques' video on the new Rivian offerings and they look really good. I mean REALLY good! I especially liked the "outdoor" things they added; camp mode turns all the screens red to help keep your night vision, you can fold down ALL the seats to make room for an air mattress, and...
