An alert chime for red lights and stop signs to help prevent accidental violations.
How It Would Work
A Red Light Chime would work very similarly to Tesla’s existing Green Light Chime, using the vehicle’s cameras and navigation data to recognize upcoming red traffic lights and stop signs. As the vehicle approaches one, it would play an audible alert to remind the driver to slow down and stop. The chime could activate when approaching a red light or stop sign, helping prevent distracted driving, missed signals, and accidental traffic violations. The feature would be customizable, allowing drivers to enable or disable alerts for traffic lights and stop signs separately. Most importantly it would serve as an additional safety reminder rather than taking control of the vehicle
