Discuss: Tesla Reduces the Price of FSD and Various Models in the U.S. and Canada

Wow, that's quite a big drop in price. My understanding was that FSD would be more expensive in the future, not less. This is not encouraging. It feels like something is going significantly wrong at Tesla. Maybe Elon focusing so much on other projects (X/Twitter) as well as his public...

Discuss: 2024.14 Official Tesla Release Notes

I'm particularly interested in the music player update. While the current one works, the new one looks like it has a much better UX. For example, in the current player it's very difficult to tell how far you are in a song or to be able to skip forward or backward in the song. The new one...

Discuss: 2024.3.15 (FSD Supervised v12.3.4) Release Notes

Well, I've now driven a bit on FSD v12.3.4 and I have a couple of observations: Yes, it goes slower than I would in most circumstances but it seems to stay in the legal limit my better than I do. In other words, I speed too much. 😊 It will try to stop at every yellow light it sees, sometimes...

@PrescottAZRichard it looks like you spoke it into existence. I'm installing 2024.3.15 (v12.3.4) right now! WooHoo!

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to v4.31.5; Fixes and References to Upcoming Features

It looks like Tesla updated the iOS app yesterday to v4.31.6. Maybe it fixes this problem. 🤷‍♂️ UPDATE: it looks like you're not the only one having these issues. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/tesla-ios-4-31-5-and-4-31-6-bugs.325011

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to v4.31.5; Fixes and References to Upcoming Features

I'm running 4.31.5 on an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I can see the climate options (Dog Mode, Camp Mode, etc.) just like normal. No issues at all.

    Software update wishlist

"Short" Horn Button I would like a way to send a small, short "beep" to someone instead of a regular horn blast. This would be useful when you just want the person in front of you to go when they aren't paying attention at a light. Or to let someone know that you are behind them when they are...

    Software update wishlist

Sure. I don't use it every day or anything but it really blows people's minds when you show it to them. I think it's a pretty neat marketing idea. No other car could do anything like this and it really make Tesla stand out.

Electronic Tow Mode Someone over on TMC suggested and electronic tow mode. 2nd Tesla, with nobody inside, follows 3-4 feet behind the towing Tesla, and it projects it's rear view camera to the towing car. Towed car follows every move the lead car makes. Now, it's possible to keep adding towed...

Discuss: 2024.3.10 (FSD Supervised v12.3.3) Release Notes

It looks like a lot of AP3 vehicles are getting 2024.3.10. Whereas most of the recipients of 2024.3.8 were running AP4. Maybe I have a chance for my MX in this round. 🤞

Discuss: Tesla Advances with 5G: A Future of Enhanced Connectivity for Cars and Robotics

My understanding is that a focus of 5G is actually IoT (Internet of Things), which is exactly the use-case for cars and robots. One of the main features of 5G is the ability to create local networks; think of a factory floor or a corporate campus. 5G is much higher bandwidth, lower latency...

Discuss: Tesla Advances with 5G: A Future of Enhanced Connectivity for Cars and Robotics

Interesting. Tesla is going all in on creating a completely vertical market for automation and vehicles. I'm not sure any other car company (certainly not the incumbents) would ever dream of building out a cellular network to keep information flowing between their vehicles. I'm not positive...

Discuss: 2024.3.5 (FSD beta v12.3.2) Release Notes

What are you talking about!?! It's already up to 55 with 12 more scheduled. We're on a real roll here... 🤣

Discuss: 2024.3.5 (FSD beta v12.3.2) Release Notes

Well, they must have found something wrong with 2024.3.5 because it only rolled out to 1 customer (as far as we can tell) and they've already released 2024.3.6. At least they are iterating quickly. 😄
