Tesla’s Next Earnings Call Will Have Video, Musk Says

Tesla’s earnings calls might finally be getting a makeover. After investors compared Tesla’s Q3 call last month to SpaceX’s much flashier one the day before, Elon Musk said on X that Tesla’s next call will be a video call and “more entertaining.”

The exchange started when @TeslaBoomerMama said she wanted the next Tesla call to be on video, “with someone smiling as happily as Gwynne did yesterday.” Musk replied, “It will be next time.” When @farzyness graded SpaceX’s earnings production an “A+” and Tesla’s an “F-,” Musk answered, “Fair enough, we will make it more entertaining next time.”

SpaceX Set a High Bar

SpaceX held its second-ever earnings call on October 20, a day before Tesla’s Q3 earnings call. While Tesla stuck to its usual audio-only stream, SpaceX switched from a traditional audio webcast to a live earnings video call, broadcast from its Starlink factory in Bastrop, Texas.

The call also had visuals to go with the numbers. It opened with a recap video, and Musk showed an animated simulation of an upper-stage Starship. Check it out for yourself:

The numbers caught investors’ attention, too. SpaceX reported revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161% year-over-year, and net income of $4.4 billion. It also launched its first revenue-generating Starship mission, delivering 26 Starlink V3 satellites. Musk added that SpaceX will increase Starlink satellite bandwidth capacity 100 times the current level over the next 3 years, and the company ended the quarter with 13.6 million Starlink subscribers.

Tesla’s call had plenty of news of its own, from record FSD subscriber growth to Robotaxi expansion timelines. If you’d rather skip the audio, our full Q3 2026 earnings call recap covers everything that was announced.

When to Expect Tesla’s First Video Call

Tesla’s next earnings call should take place in late January, covering its Q4 and full-year 2026 results. If Musk follows through, that would be the first one with video.

Before that, Tesla has its annual shareholder meeting a month from now, on December 3. Shareholder meetings already come with a live video feed and tend to be more engaging than earnings calls, so fans should get a better show there first.

Musk hasn’t said what a more entertaining Tesla call would include, but SpaceX’s factory setting, recap video, and animations offer a pretty good template.

Tesla has added four new items to the Cybercab Collection on the Tesla Shop: two T-shirts, a backpack, and a gold version of its On the Road Cup.

They join the collection’s existing lineup, which already includes a Cybercab-themed pickleball paddle made with Selkirk, a gold portable charger, more apparel, and a couple of other paint-to-match drinkware options.

Tesla describes this tee with a simple “Autonomy for all.” It has a small Cybercab wordmark on the front and a detailed wireframe graphic on the back. The back print shows the Cybercab with its doors open, a look inside the cabin, and its passenger screen, all laid over a grid in gold-toned lines. It’s made from 100% cotton.

Inside, there’s a padded laptop pocket and compartments for electronics, accessories, and books. It holds 14 liters and measures 11.8 × 5.5 × 15.7 inches, and Tesla says it fits over most luggage handles and under most airline seats.

Tesla’s double-walled stainless steel On the Road Cup is now available in a gold finish to match the Cybercab. It holds 10 oz, is dishwasher-safe, and has a suction-seal clear lid with a slider featuring a raised T logo. A laser-etched Tesla wordmark runs down the side, and a rubber base keeps it from slipping. Tesla says it fits snugly in all cupholders across its S3XY lineup and the Cybertruck.

The Closest You’ll Get to a Cybercab for Now

There are already more than 300 Cybercabs operating commercially in Austin, and rides are set to launch in Dallas this month. Tesla also said it’s aiming to deliver the first Cybercabs to customers before the end of the year, but whether it meets that deadline, those first units will almost certainly go to commercial and fleet customers

Europeans can see one in person as the Cybercab tours Europe with stops at a dozen locations across several countries. For most people, though, these pieces of Cybercab-inspired merch are as close as they’ll get to owning a Cybercab for a while.
