Voting is now open for Tesla’s 2026 Annual Shareholder Meeting, which takes place on December 3 at 3:00 p.m. CT at Giga Texas. This year’s ballot is short, with just three proposals from Tesla’s Board, and the Board recommends voting “For” on all of them.

Shareholders of record as of October 13, 2026, can vote, and they have until December 2 to submit or change their votes.
What’s on the Ballot
Proposal 1 Re-elect Three Class I Directors
Elon Musk, Board Chair Robyn Denholm, and JB Straubel are up for re-election to three-year terms. Each director is voted on separately, but together they make up the first proposal. In its letter to shareholders, the Board called this the most important item on the ballot, asking investors to vote with its recommendations on all proposals, “most importantly, the re-election of our Class I Directors.”
Proposal 2: Approve 2025 Executive Compensation
This is a non-binding “say-on-pay” vote on how Tesla paid its executives in 2025, including $158.4 billion in stock awards for Musk. Since it’s advisory, the result doesn’t force any changes, but it does show the Board how shareholders feel about pay.
Proposal 3: Ratify PwC as Auditor
Shareholders will vote on keeping PricewaterhouseCoopers as Tesla’s independent accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.
How to Vote
You can vote online through ProxyVote, by phone at 800-454-8683, or at the meeting itself. You’ll need your 16-digit control number, which comes on your proxy materials if your shares are held directly with Computershare, or on the voting form from your broker if you hold shares through one.
If you want to attend in person, Tesla is choosing attendees by random drawing since seating at Giga Texas is limited. The deadline to enter is this Friday, November 6, at 11:59 p.m. CT, and Tesla plans to start notifying selected shareholders the week of November 16. Everyone else can join virtually or watch the public livestream.
What Else to Expect
The meeting’s theme is “Building a World of Amazing Abundance,” and the Q&A with Musk and other executives is usually where the biggest product news comes out. Expect updates on Cybercab, FSD, Optimus, Semi, and possibly the new Roadster.
Shareholder meetings already stream with live video, unlike Tesla’s earnings calls, though Musk recently said the next earnings call will have video too. We’ll have full coverage of the meeting and voting results on December 3, so stay tuned.
