Tesla’s regular software updates often hide exciting regional surprises without adding them to the release notes. While the official documentation for the latest software release doesn’t give much away, drivers in several Middle Eastern markets are finding a major artificial intelligence upgrade waiting on their touchscreens.
With the rollout of software update 2026.32.7 earlier this week, Tesla has quietly unlocked Grok across multiple EMEA countries. Tesla owners across Israel and the United Arab Emirates have confirmed the conversational assistant is now live in their cars.
The expansion aligns with recent updates to Tesla’s regional support pages, which added localized documentation for Grok and confirmed it would be launching soon in Israel, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan. All of these countries should get Grok with software update 2026.32.7.
Requirements and Features
To use Grok, vehicles must be equipped with an AMD Ryzen infotainment computer and have an active Premium Connectivity subscription or Wi-Fi connection. Notably, Tesla drivers don’t need a Grok account or subscription to access it in their car.
Once you’re on update 2026.32.7, the Grok icon should automatically appear inside your vehicle’s App Launcher.
Tesla first introduced Grok into its cabins last year, steadily turning what began as a pretty basic chatbot into a voice-controlled copilot by integrating it deeper with vehicle systems. Drivers can wake Grok by tapping the app icon, pressing the mic button on the steering wheel, or simply saying “Hey Grok.”
Grok can handle a variety of everyday tasks hands-free (provided you have it in Assistant mode), including:
Routing navigation and adjusting route waypoints on the fly.
Managing phone calls and searching contacts.
Adjusting cabin climate, fan speeds, and seat heaters.
Controlling media playback across streaming services.
Answering troubleshooting questions by sourcing information from the digital owner’s manual.
Setting location-based reminders that ping you when you reach a specific destination.

Tesla recently even added Grok Bot, giving drivers access to agents that can check their email, manage their calendar, shop for them online, and more.
What’s Coming Next for Grok
Grok’s role inside Tesla cockpits is slated to grow even further in upcoming updates. Tesla has already confirmed that hands-free text messaging support is in the pipeline, allowing drivers to dictate, review, and reply to SMS threads through spoken conversation.
Looking further ahead, Tesla plans to give Grok direct command over Full Self-Driving — allowing passengers to tell the vehicle where to pull over, change lanes, or select parking spots entirely with natural language commands.
