Verkeerslicht- en stopbordherkenning is bedoeld om verkeerslichten en stopborden te herkennen en de auto automatisch te laten vertragen en stoppen wanneer Traffic-Aware Cruise Control of Automatisch sturen is ingeschakeld. Wanneer Verkeerslicht- en stopbordherkenning is ingeschakeld, geeft de rijvisualisatie verkeerslichten, stopborden en wegmarkeringen bij kruispunten verderop weer waar de auto mogelijk moet stoppen. Bij het naderen van een kruispunt zal de auto vertragen, zelfs als het verkeerslicht op groen staat, en wordt een rode lijn getoond die aangeeft waar de auto zal stoppen. Om voorbij de stoplijn te rijden, trekt u aan de Autopilot-hendel of drukt u kort het gaspedaal in om te bevestigen dat het veilig is om door te rijden. Zoals bij alle Autopilot-functies moet u blijven opletten en klaar zijn om onmiddellijk actie te ondernemen zoals remmen, omdat deze functie mogelijk niet voor verkeerslichten of stopborden stopt.

U schakelt de functie in door de auto in de P-stand (Park) te zetten en op Bediening > Autopilot > Verkeerslicht- en stopbordherkenning (bèta) te tikken.

Opmerking: Voordat deze functie kan worden ingeschakeld, moet mogelijk een camerakalibratie worden uitgevoerd en moeten de nieuwste kaarten voor het navigatiesysteem worden gedownload via wifi. Raadpleeg de handleiding voor meer informatie over deze functie.

De rijvisualisatie kan nu extra objecten weergeven, waaronder stoplichten, stopborden en bepaalde wegmarkeringen selecteren. De visualisaties van stopborden en verkeerslichten zijn geen vervanging voor een oplettende bestuurder en stoppen de auto niet. Om deze extra objecten in uw rijvisualisatie te zien, tikt u op Bediening > Autopilot > Zelfrijdend visualisatievoorbeeld.

Track Mode is verbeterd. Het is nu gemakkelijker om de status van uw auto in de gaten te houden, aangepaste instlellingenprofielen voor Track Mode te maken en uw circuitdaggegevens op te nemen.

Let op de status van de motoren, accu, remmen en banden zodat u uw rijgedrag in realtime kunt aanpassen. G-meter, een realtime acceleratiemeter, kan nu worden bekeken in het kaartgedeelte van het touchscreen. Op de kaart wordt nu een rondetimer weergegeven. Volg de instructies op het scherm om een speld op de kaart te plaatsen die de start/finish van de ronde aangeeft. Na iedere ronde geeft de rondetimer de rondetijd weer. Daarnaast worden ook de tijden van vorige rondes en de beste rondetijden van de rijsessie weergegeven.

Met Track Mode kunt u tot 20 Track Mode-profielen opslaan volgens uw voorkeuren of rijscenario of aanpassen voor een bepaald circuit. U kunt een nieuw instellingenprofiel maken door te tikken op Instellingen Track Mode > Nieuw apparaat, een naam voor het instellingenprofiel in te voeren en instellingen aan te passen waaronder Wegliggingsbalans, Stabiliteitshulp, Regeneratief remmen, Koeling na het rijden en Compressor overklokken. Raadpleeg de handleiding voor meer informatie over elke instelling.

U kunt nu een video en gegevens van de rijsessie in Track Mode opslaan op een aangesloten USB-stick. Deze moet een map bevatten met de naam "TeslaTrackMode" (zonder de aanhalingstekens). Wanneer "Dashcamclips opslaan voor rondes" is ingeschakeld, slaat Track Mode een video van elke ronde van een rijsessie op bij gebruik van de rondetimer. Track Mode slaat ook de autostatus en telemetriegegevens op waaronder details over voertuigpositie, snelheid, acceleratie en gaspedaalgebruik die worden opgeslagen als een .CSV-bestand op de USB-stick.

U kunt nu laadpunten van derden vinden met uw navigatiesysteem – er zijn nu selecte locaties beschikbaar in België, Nederland, Duitsland, Zwitserland en Oostenrijk en binnenkort komen er in heel Europa nieuwe bij. Druk op het bliksemschichtpictogram onder aan het touchschreen om ze te openen, blader omlaag en selecteer een Supercharger- of Destination Charging-laadpunt of een laadpunt van derden om er naar te navigeren.

Model S- en Model X-auto's hebben een CCS Combo 2-adapter nodig voor opladen bij laadpunten van derden.

Om de audio-overgang van telefoon naar auto te verbeteren wanneer u de auto instapt, maakt Bluetooth nu pas verbinding met uw gekoppelde telefoon nadat u op de bestuurdersstoel hebt plaatsgenomen en alle portieren gesloten zijn. Fold Mirrors: This button will fold your mirrors and then briefly change to 'Save Location.'

Save Location: If your mirrors were recently folded, then you'll be presented with a Save Location button that will cause the vehicle to always fold its mirrors when it arrives near this location.

Remove Location: If your mirrors are set to be folded at the current location, the button will change to 'Remove Location," letting you remove the automatic folding of the mirrors at this location.

Unfold Mirrors: If your mirrors are currently folded, but not set to fold automatically based on the location, then the button will simply display 'Unfold Mirrors.'

The nozzle that sprays your windshield when the left stalk or steering wheel button (model dependent) is held down previously only sprayed the windshield when the wipers were in the lower position.

With this update, the nozzle will spray the windshield any time the button is held for a brief period, regardless of the wiper's position.

Fold Mirrors Button

The Fold Mirrors button under Controls has been updated to have multiple states. The mirror now has four states:

Fold Mirrors: This button will fold your mirrors and then briefly change to 'Save Location.'

Save Location: If your mirrors were recently folded, then you'll be presented with a Save Location button that will cause the vehicle to always fold its mirrors when it arrives near this location.

Remove Location: If your mirrors are set to be folded at the current location, the button will change to 'Remove Location," letting you remove the automatic folding of the mirrors at this location.

Unfold Mirrors: If your mirrors are currently folded, but not set to fold automatically based on the location, then the button will simply display 'Unfold Mirrors.'

Connectivity Icon

Tesla's connectivity icon is now always displayed in the status bar to give you instant access to the vehicle's signal strength.

Prior to this update, the cellular connection icon was only displayed if there was low or no coverage, or if you went into the main Controls menu.

The vehicle's turn signal icons are now easier to see at a glance. Instead of the arrow being inside of a circle, the new turn signals are now simple arrows, which better matches other vehicles.

New WiFi Menu

There is a new WiFi menu that makes it easier to connect your vehicle to WiFi. The new menu can be found under Controls > WLAN (WiFi).

The updated menu replaces the old dialog box that appeared when you tapped the WiFi icon at the top of the Controls menu.

The status icons at the top of the screen are still present to let you quickly view whether the vehicle is connected to WiFi and its signal strength.

New Bluetooth Menu

Similar to WiFi, the Bluetooth menu is now located under Controls > Bluetooth, instead of an overlay on the screen.

To make additional room for the additional WiFi and Bluetooth options in the left column, you can now scroll the column vertically, with WiFi, Bluetooth and Upgrades being the last options.

The Bluetooth icon will also remain at the top of the screen to quickly let you know whether any Bluetooth devices are conneced.
