Discuss: Why You May Still be on Tesla Update 2024.8.9 or 2024.3.25 and What to Expect

This is kinda becoming weird. More than 50% of the tracked fleet has .14 and I'm left on a version which tracks now only 7% with a car that's been sitting in a garage, connected to WiFi and mobile charger, for the last two weeks. If they were leaving all the Highlands out I would understand, but...

Discuss: Tesla Auto Wipers: Why They Don't Work and Why There Isn't an Easy Fix

The odd thing, it worked almost fine for my also until 2024 updates, when they supposedly "fixed" the issue. With one notable exception: I used to park it under trees, and when resin spilled, it was a nightmare whenever I activated autopilot, because obviously it relies on... Vision. Hence...

Discuss: Tesla Auto Wipers: Why They Don't Work and Why There Isn't an Easy Fix

Exactly. "don't fix if it ain't broken", should have been the underlying principle avoiding the two biggest headaches for Tesla: windshield wipers and park. Vision is not the answer to everything, at least not with the current hardware.

Discuss: Tesla Auto Wipers: Why They Don't Work and Why There Isn't an Easy Fix

I'm afraid that the explanation of the problem is worse than the problem itself. The reason why Tesla cameras don't detect rain well is absolutely unrelated to the windshield coverage. How do you think other cars work? It's all bases on probability: if the small portion covered by the sensor...

Discuss: Why You May Still be on Tesla Update 2024.8.9 or 2024.3.25 and What to Expect

That's incredible. Anyway, I'm abroad now, so I wouldn't even know how to "push" the car to check for updates, even thought she's on WiFi.

Discuss: Why You May Still be on Tesla Update 2024.8.9 or 2024.3.25 and What to Expect

That's THE question. If auto park or a glance of FSD was eventually coming to the old continent, I might decide to upgrade.

Discuss: Why You May Still be on Tesla Update 2024.8.9 or 2024.3.25 and What to Expect

Ok but Summer is coming, seems a bit late from a Spring update, isn't it? No really, I'm looking forward to have my wife trying the trunk opening feature I suggested Tesla a while ago, as she has an IPhone and I don't 😂

Discuss: A Look at the 22 Unlisted Improvements in Tesla's 2024.14 Update

Just to make us still on 2024.8 drooling a little bit more, thanks :) What about existing driver profiles, do we have to migrate them to Cloud? Or how do we understand if they are local or Cloud profiles? I guess by the fact that they are linked to an email, but...

The mirror thing is actually more complicated than they thought. But hey, voice commands actually do wonders on this, e.g. when I need to leave the car in our French single-car garage (try to park it without folding them...). Still, when I leave the car in a valet garage, they never close it...

Discuss: Why You May Still be on Tesla Update 2024.8.9 or 2024.3.25 and What to Expect

Super interesting reading, however I still don't understand why my brand new EU Highland without FSD should be still stuck on 2024.8.9. Based on what I read it should have been progressed to 2024.14 by now, not to mention 2024.20.

Discuss: 2024.20 Official Tesla Release Notes

My "wish" is that manual acceleration beyond speed limit is treated as autopilot disconnect, under the condition that the driver has hands on wheels. Obviously the status quo workaround is the one you outline, but in 3 years, during long drives, how many times do you think I've forgotten to do...

Discuss: 2024.20 Official Tesla Release Notes

How nice, we barely received 2024.14 and there's already something newer. 5 strikes before a suspension... is that for FSD or for all autopilot levels? If autopilot didn't "strike" also when inadvertently accelerating past 140km/h (or the max Speed allowed by Tesla Vision) due to manual...

Well yes but that's the closest you can get to avoiding having sport mode engaged at all times (which ironically in the EU is "normal acceleration", while "chill" is "soft acceleration" - ironically because on my dual motor "soft" is nothing short of 250cv+). +/- pads, not gonna happen, as the...

Weren't we supposed to be on 2024.14 already?

There are "gears" but you wouldn't want to control them. What I simply do is keeping the left button configured for acceleration, and since I drive on soft/chill, if I need the full beast I just temporarily change the acceleration mode.

I like it in principle, but I don't get it. Besides seeing the blinking arrow at the top of the screen, don't you see the side of the car in the camera stream? Now there's also the red blind spot alert which should give a better hint about which side it is.

Discuss: Tesla Intel Vehicles Receive Some of the Visual Updates in Spring Update 2024.14

You tell me... I basically suggested the trunk opening update and not only my wife would only benefit of it (every time I try to switch to iphone I regret it), I haven't received it either

Discuss: Tesla Intel Vehicles Receive Some of the Visual Updates in Spring Update 2024.14

"Investment" would be true if purchasing it now would be shielding from increases along the way. But until recently only reductions of the real FSD have been experienced, so in Europe I suppose the price will remain the same also when FSD will be introduced. And since you can purchase it anytime...
