Discuss: Tesla Unveils Powerwall 3: Specs, What's New and How It Compares to Powerwall 2

@Not a Tesla App I think you're correct about it being a complete Tesla system. I read somewhere else where the current meta for solar installs is to use micro-inverters on each panel and not a central inverter (like PW3 has). The idea is that micro-inverters can better handle panel...

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to 4.25; Adds New Model 3 Assets and Wall Conncetor Support

I think I will like setting the charging time on the wall connector instead of in the car. It seems much more straightforward and should work with any number of cars you plug into the connector, not just the car you configure manually. (y)

Discuss: Tesla's AI Revolution: A Glimpse into the Future Through Isaacson's Lens and FSD V12

Honestly, I think the only way forward for FSD is to go in a radical direction. It seems like the current FSD is getting better in smaller and smaller increments. The main problem I have with it is that it doesn't drive like everyone else on the road, it drives like a computer. That makes it...

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to 4.25; Adds New Model 3 Assets and Wall Conncetor Support

The SSID and IP address of the Wall Connector is pretty easy to find but the password is not. However, the side of Wall Connector has a sticker with the serial number and part number and with both of those numbers you can contact Tesla support to have them send you the password. Or at least...

Discuss: Tesla Improves Reverse Camera View in Update 2023.32

Tangentially related to this story, I've noticed that the backup camera in my '20 MX is much better than the one that was in my '20 MY. Plus the one in the MY would always get dirt and moisture on it and I constantly had to clean it off. I'm not sure I even know where the backup camera is on...

Discuss: Tesla Finally Introduces a True Blind Spot Indicator in the New Model 3 [Video]

Wrong or right, I've been relying somewhat on the car to let me know if there is a car in the lane I'm trying to merge into. Now, I do still look to double check but it's a lazy look and not a full on 2 second stare. 🤷‍♂️

    Project Highland Reveal (carwow)

Wow, those changes look really good! The ventilated seats, the rear display, better suspension, the improved sound system and reduced interior noise are all real features that you'll notice on a daily basis. The improved mileage / efficiency is incredible; >400 miles for the long range!! And...

Discuss: Musk Merges Worlds: X App Coming Soon to Your Tesla

Uggh, if there is one thing I can live without it's an "X" app in my car. You can remove apps from your car, right?

2020 MX - My back wheels seem to be out of "sync" with the front wheels.

That's a good suggestion but I'm not sure the stop mode is the problem. My previous Tesla (2020 MY) was set to "hold" and didn't exhibit this behavior and I've driven other Tesla's with the same settings and didn't experience this phenomenon. Like I said, I'm probably not explaining it very...

2020 MX - My back wheels seem to be out of "sync" with the front wheels.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with MX cars or just AWD Tesla's in general, but my back wheels seem to be out of sync with the front wheels. It's super hard to explain, but during low speed maneuvers (stop signs, parking, stop and go traffic, etc.) the back wheels seem to "settle" when...

Discuss: Musk Reveals Tesla Owners With Hardware 4 Will Continue To Face FSD Beta Delays

Yes, I think this is a pattern with Tesla - build the new thing that is technically better than the old thing but isn't quite caught up yet. It's very frustrating to have your car be different than everyone else's. However, they tend to catch up and overtake older designs eventually. Tesla is...

Discuss: 2023.32 Official Tesla Release Notes

Ok, I think I've given up on trying to decode the FSD updates. The most recent FSD Beta (11.4.7) is based on 2023.7.30 but "latest" FSD Beta 11.4.4 is based on 2023.26.10. But wait, FSD Beta 11.4.4 that is installed in my MX right now is based on 2023.7.20. Does this mean that I'm running...

Discuss: FSD Beta 11.4.4 (2023.26.10) Official Tesla Release Notes

Yeah, I was hoping for a bit more but it would be enough just to get off of 2023.7!

Discuss: Tesla Updates App, Adds Siri and Automation Support Through Apple Shortcuts

Unfortunately, I still have to use the "unofficial" Shortcuts to roll up the windows in my 2020 MX. I was hoping that these shortcuts would allow window roll up; I don't know what I was thinking.

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

I really do like my 2020 MX but some of the quirks are just annoying. I LOVED the A/C system in the 2020 MY; everything from the heat pump to the automatic dashboard louvers. The 2020 MX has neither of those niceties. Plus the newer MXs (and all the MY/M3) are getting all the good updates...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces New Wall Connector With Magic Dock Type Solution

This is absolutely brilliant! I've thought about getting a truck and the F150 Lightning is in the running, but how would I charge it? Install another charger from another manufacturer? If so, then I can't share my single 60A circuit and would have to run another circuit probably at a lower...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

So, I have a 2020 MX with FSD. Can I purchase a new Standard Range MX, get the federal tax incentives, and transfer my FSD to the new MX? 🤔 If so, I might be able to pull off a lateral upgrade (almost) to a brand new car.

Discuss: Elon Musk Promises 'Super Good' Autowiper Performance With Latest Iteration

The interesting thing is that I loved the auto-wipers on my 2020 MY and couldn't understand why everyone was complaining. Then I traded the MY for a 2020 MX and now I understand. I'm not sure why there is such a big difference, but the MX auto-wipers are ... not great. Granted the last update...
