As long as we're airing our wishlist, mine would be to add power seat controls to the GUI. Whenever I transport my grandchild I have to move the passenger seat up, and reaching over the seat to the far side is getting really old. 😁
I can say that I won't by a Chamberlain product in the future (if I can avoid it). This subscription stuff is just icing on the cake and they are cutting off their nose to spite their face.
I don't know, there are a couple of reasons that I might like to have an automatic garage door opener. I keep the old push button remote in the drivers door pocket and it works pretty well. But the signal is not great so I have to be almost in the driveway before it can activate my garage...
Actually, that's a really good point. There have been several times where I wished I could turn off the air flow for the passenger like we can with the back seat passengers on the MY. My wife also complains of being too cold and my mother hates the air blowing in her face. The best we can do...
I think the fee comes from integrating with things outside the MyQ space. So, if you want to integrate the MyQ system with your car (Tesla) then you have to pay a fee.
Yea, I was actually thinking that an alternative might be to use the OpenGarage controller ($50) and Home Assistant to do the same thing. This keeps everything local and completely in my control, with no subscriptions. It's a bit more work and it doesn't integrate with Tesla as cleanly, but it...
Welp, it turns out that this is hot garbage and a complete non-starter for me. MyQ want's to charge a subscription fee to use open my garage door. Fuck that!

When I found out about the possibility of automatically operating my garage door from my car I was super happy. Then I found out it was MyQ, and my joy turned to uncertainess. MyQ (Chamberlain) are aggressively closed source but I thought that maybe they would be cool, just this once. I even...
I'm guessing that if MyQ can control the access gate then your Tesla won't know or care that it's not a garage door. And looking at the MyQ system, the only requirement seems to be that it can pair to your door opener like any other wireless remote. Basically, your door opener views the MyQ...
I can see your point. However, I think renewable supplies could help quite a bit. Also, these power demands will be fairly well known in advance, which makes planning much easier.
My father was a diesel mechanic and worked on the big rigs back in the day. He passed several years ago. I wish he was still here so I could talk about the Tesla Semi with him, he would probably have a lot to say. 😔
It appears that they might be testing some sort of advanced HD radar, according to the latest Electric article - https://electrek.co/2022/12/06/tesla-radar-car-next-month-self-driving-suite-concerns/
I wonder when Tesla will bring the unified stack to non-FSD people. It sure would be nice to not have the cars jumping around in the screen while I'm sitting at a stop light.
So, does this mean that you can go to a local GM dealer to get your car fixed? Do you have to schedule it through the Tesla app? Are GM dealers even an option when scheduling a repair? What types of repairs do GM dealers do? So many questions.
I just got back from a 1,000 mile trip with my 2020 LR MY and it only "ghost braked" a couple of times. One specifically when the shadow from an overpass was over the road in front of me. At least I think that's what the problem was. 🤷♂️
Overall, it was pretty impressive and I never even...
Wow, that's some serious money for a new color. What would an outright paint job cost for those colors? I'm pretty sure you could wrap your car for less than $3,000 and then you could have anything you wanted, including chrome.
I wish we could get Dynamic Brake Lights in the USA. I thought there was some US law that prevented vehicles from having flashing lights, but I've seen other cars on the road with dynamic brake lights so it must be possible/legal somehow.
I'm thinking about all the times I pull into a parking spot and get warnings about how close I am to the car in front of me. I'm not sure the forward facing camera can see the same view as the bumper USSs.
On the flip side, maybe we'll finally get the overhead view that [most] every other...
I was playing Solitaire the other day and I noticed something new. After the 2022.24 update my Solitaire game automatically enters full screen when I start playing. Before the update I had to press the full-screen button to maximize my game. I don't know if this is the same with other games...
