Discuss: Tesla Reveals Features in This Year's Holiday Update

Yes indeed, actually I was referring to the fact that the current "hello world" highland auto-shift already works so and so, both as it cannot read the context when you "start" the car and because the safety belt plus brake sequence is just plain stupid. I completely disabled it on any profile...

Discuss: Tesla Reveals Features in This Year's Holiday Update

I'm still confused. From where do you get that steering drives the gear selection? I have no experience about that. Or is it a speculation about the upcoming version?

Here there's no mention whatsoever of steering wheel. And personally I would even find it dangerous... how can gears be connected to the steering wheel? Auto Shift from Park Auto Shift from Park is a BETA feature and is disabled by default. When disabled, use the touchscreen or the overhead...

Discuss: Tesla Reveals Features in This Year's Holiday Update

All this while singing a song? Are you serious about turning the steering wheel? :D Nope, there's no auditory feedback, also because on the highland the noise insulation (from windows, not from wheels, ironically) is so strong that you can't even hear the rear gear buzz. The current way the...

Re: Control Seats From the Screen Why the hell not allowing memories for the passenger, then? And perhaps coupled with face recognition? I just realized that with the Commander it's feasible, so why doesn't Tesla do that natively?

Discuss: Tesla Reveals Features in This Year's Holiday Update

"The new Model 3 can now automatically switch between Drive and Reverse when the vehicle comes to a stop" sounds scary. How? Why? When? I already had a couple of instances where I entered the car, there was nothing in front of me and by pressing the accelerator the car backed instead of going...

Discuss: Enhance Auto Adds Stalks Back to Your Tesla With New Product

If I read it correctly before buying one (just the left) they're not rechargeable and should last a year. Pity they don't provide horizontal movement, on purpose (because of auto lights) but at least the side button is configurable. I actually bought the Knob, curious about how it will be.

Discuss: Enhance Auto Adds Stalks Back to Your Tesla With New Product

Oh eventually. I got used to the weird gears being upside down on the screen, and I almost always get turning arrows right, but flashing cars has become a nightmare... when in danger I always end up putting the right arrow. PLUS having to toggle the auto-blinders at night, and if autopilot is...

Makes sense, only the setting should be country-specific. You know, there are entire nations driving on the "wrong side" :-D

    Software update wishlist

No, it is not. CongressDJ repeated one of my first "wishes", having a trunk height setting based on the location. e.g. when I park in the single-garage in our seaside residence, I'd like to avoid having to stop the trunk hitting the swinging metal door without having to remember to use the...

Discuss: Tesla Releases 'Actually Smart Summon' in Europe With Restrictions In Update 2024.44.3

Well if you think about it should be no more dangerous than using unsupervised FSD or the Robotaxi, for that matter. Especially in the latter, where you have no human control at all. Anything less than that, it would be just a useless and irrelevant party trick, like lightshows. Useful at best...

Discuss: Tesla Releases 'Actually Smart Summon' in Europe With Restrictions In Update 2024.44.3

Correct, I'll try to summon it from the other side of the road for the sake of trying it and see what happens. I was just imagining what real use case it could have, other than trying to mock the 80s Knight Rider TV series, as many of the other crazy sci-fi suggestions that Elon tried to bring...

Exactly. Basically the question is: how many features that already exist in Tessie (so, are doable) will be eventually incorporated into the real app?

Discuss: Tesla Releases 'Actually Smart Summon' in Europe With Restrictions In Update 2024.44.3

Well thinking about it, it's not that there is no use. For instance, I always call the garage where I leave my M3 upfront so that they can get it ready for me to pick it up. Thinking ahead, if I could summon the car, and I'm just 100 meters away across the street, it wouldn't be stupid at all...

Discuss: Tesla Adds Acceleration Boost Option for 2024 Model 3

I bet it's more the second factor, because the car warns about having to slow down at certain speeds if there's a risk not to complete the route and stops at SuperChargers are rejected. Regardless of the speed, sure doesn't help (and it's not required) having the instant torque and acceleration...

Am I the only one what would pay such amount... not for added acceleration, but to increase the range by depowering the already exaggerated performance of the dual motor LR in chill?

Quick headlight control without stalks Plain and simple: if auto decided that no headlights are required, and you disagreed, you would have to open the Controls settings, not having the "stalk shortcut". We need a headlight shortcut icon to stay always on, no matter what. Now, if lights were...

Well, not much to "dream" about, the value of Juniper (now that we know what to expect, having seen the gigantic gap after Highland started to ship) is certainly somewhere else than just UWB and these incomplete features built around it. Although it was on my top ten wishlist, this just doesn't...

This would be a killer, but I guess it's a security feature. You wouldn't want the trunk/frunk opening if you were inside the car or just nearby and someone else is in the front/rear cameras. Ironically, I experience the opposite, and I hate it: without UWB, whenever I close the trunk, and the...
