Discuss: Tesla Suffers Sharp Decline in U.S. Sales: A Look at the Numbers

Now, yes. Actually the more I think about it, the less I trust driving the car. Too much... "connected", if you get what I mean.

Discuss: What will your next EV be?

This is a fair point. Teslas were already targeted by anti-EV zealots. Imagine now.

It would require hardware changes and looks overkill for a residual scenario which could be solved by other means, e.g. placing wheel blocks, as we do when parking aircraft. I mean, nobody would like their car sliding regardless of charging. Or when it snows you could just use an extension cord...

Well to be honest, his support to Trump is the horrific part. The salute wasn't really what it's believed it was. He's just a tad "autistic" (Asperger), it was his own awkward way of giving the heart. Otherwise as a roman salute it would really feel twice as awkward, and I can say it as a native...

Check the exaxt wording, e.g. in Italy "surpassing to the right" is forbidden, not "passing to the right". Makes a whole lot of difference. Passing cannot be forbidden logically, as in a queue you wouldn't be able to have different speeds in parallel lanes.

Because VW is run by lawyers. Legally, however, it depends on how the maneuver is executed. It isn't forbidden proceeding at a higher speed than a car on a lane left to yours. What's forbidden is tailgating, taking over and returning to the former lane, which often can cause accidents due to...

They are somewhat already integrated with the map, only - which is the key part - aren't part of the navigator's decision making process when it comes to plan for an en route charging stop, let alone preconditioning for fast charging. This is most evident on the highway, were you would be...

Discuss: Tesla Suffers Sharp Decline in U.S. Sales: A Look at the Numbers

Quoting the news. There are many factors to consider. For one, Chinese manufacturers still don't have full access to the "old continent", and I don't see any Rivian/Lucid here at all, so except some BYD, Porsche Taycan, KIA and the mentioned 500 and Mini plus the legacy Toyotas, there aren't...

Discuss: Tesla Suffers Sharp Decline in U.S. Sales: A Look at the Numbers

I think it's neither. We already buy stuff from mass murderers, and nobody gives a sh*t. There are simply better cars out there, the competition caught up. As Elon said many times, building an EV is much easier than building an ICE, because the engine is key to an ICE and it's the most...

Discuss: Tesla Officially Unveils the 2025 Model Y - New Turn Signal Stalk, Front Camera, New Color, Light Bars and More

Speaking of "Some of the interesting things I’ve seen about the new Y that aren’t widely discussed", probably because it was already on the CyberTruck abomination: the front bumper camera. Another thing that shouldn't be optional, was long rejected by Tesla and eventually had to come to terms...

Discuss: What will your next EV be?

I didn't buy a Tesla for it to be driverless, although I'm conscious we're all squirrels in Elon's machine learning wheel that's preparing the FSD model, regardless. I did buy Teslas to have a decent electric car, that's all. The moment is becomes humanly undrivable, I don't care how FSD will be...

You should try the 500 convertible. We rented it in Barcelona, it's fun. There's also the Mini Convertible, never tried but I guess it would be fun as well, basically an electric go-kart. But if I got one of these for my wife, I should change the latter (it was already challenging "downgrading"...

We currently have 2 recent cars, a Highland (1 year) and a Z4 (less than 2 years), so I would be looking both at how the likes of Xiaomi evolve (even though I'd avoid Chinese brands) and, especially to replace the roadster, legacy EU producers like BMW, waiting for new ones to pop up with...

Discuss: Tesla Officially Unveils the 2025 Model Y - New Turn Signal Stalk, Front Camera, New Color, Light Bars and More

You must try it for yourself. There are two kind of drivers: who regularly use the signals (at every lane switch and turn) and who barely do, not even to signal that the car is starting or merging. Guess which category wouldn't complain?

I'm not commenting on the other features of the MY because I don't like SUVs of any kind. So, good to see them, but unless the highland is getting a refresh anytime soon... Easy to say, we don't know how regularly you used to use them. As a regular user, I found the placement quite illogical...

They must be joking. I had to buy one. If they listened carefully, they should propose a free retrofit to all the scammed Highland owners.

I just get the shivers thinking that in such conditions FSD would start to cross the intersection, if there are no cars in front.

Commander allows disabling the front and rear motors independently. Never used it because there's a bad warning but curious if someone did it.

On a highland, with commander, you can have a segment of the surrounding ambient light blinking. Very comfortable, also for collision warning.
