    The next model S & X

I *wish* I could afford a new S at some point but most likely that isn’t in my future. Which reminds me- gotta check my lottery tickets. Still, I can dream and maybe lust after a nicer car again. Which got me thinking what’s next for the S. Since the internet seems to be a place to make baseless...

Discuss: Tesla Unveils New Model Y in North America and Europe: Key Differences From Asia-Pacific Version

No hood badge! Sweet :) Looks good, there are some YT videos of the new Y in China already. I'm *really* interested in the heat rejection glass. In AZ everyone gets tint, even here in the mountains. Since I just got a new Y (a year ago 2/28) I'm happy to skip this refresh but if I still had my...

Rocco Speranza has a video as well, with less snow :) . Still salty roads there.

Discuss: Tesla Launches FSD V12.6.2, Finally Available for HW3 Model 3

Good to see! The only video I found so far was in snowy conditions and *really* hard to watch as sFSD doesn't wanna do slippery streets yet. That was Tesla Geek. He has a 2019 model 3.

Discuss: Tesla FSD v12.6.2 / FSD v13.2.5 (Update 2024.45.32.5) Release Notes

Looking forward to this minor update.Hope it does well on the HW3 cars, seems like 12.6 was a mixed bag for them.

Discuss: A Closer Look at the New 2025 Model Y Juniper Refresh

Interstig angles showing the front and rear. A real departure from the original model Y and feels more 'Korean' design wise. More straight lines. Straight-er anyway. That's a LOT of space on the rear where the license plate used to be, I joked that you could rent it out. Badging looks like a...

Discuss: Tesla's RWD Cybertruck Expected to Arrive Without These Features

IF they make a 'basic' truck, it better have a basic truck price. Right?

Discuss: Tesla Insurance May Soon Offer FSD Discount and Take Usage Into Consideration

Now this is interesting. I've always wondered how insurance is gonna adapt to self driving vehicles. It makes sense to me that whatever entity is driving the car should be the one carrying the insurance burden. So a discount when using sFSD is basically that. The insurance industry is a behemoth...

Discuss: What’s Next for Tesla? Our 2025 Wishlist

Looking over the wishlist- I'm not sure what to want out of a smaller EV, the 3 is kinda perfect really IMO but I'm certainly not everybody! AirPlay would be fantastic, i suppose that could undercut the need for Tesla to develop its own apps on screen. Once the car is unsupervised FSD those...

Discuss: Tesla’s Model Y Refresh - The Little Things

I can't verify them, that's just some stuff I've seen mentioned in YT videos. There was speculation of a powered Frunk as well but then there was immediate doubt so who knows.

Discuss: Tesla’s Model Y Refresh - The Little Things

Since you brought it up :) -Roof glass with some kind of silver coating? Seats are 1/2" longer? I've seen this reported on YT videos. Larger frunk with drain plug? Very interesting choices on the rear of the car. I guess more seams in the name of less cost to repair is a legit compromise...

Discuss: Tesla Suffers Sharp Decline in U.S. Sales: A Look at the Numbers

Not that I can afford one but I am keen to see what happens with the S and X in a refresh. They are such a small % of vehicles sold I am not sure what Tesla 'should' do with them. Whatever happens I'm sure they'll have that CT style light bar :) .

Discuss: Tesla Included FSD V12.6.1 and V13.2.4 in the Same Update: What Caused This and What It Means

Thanks for that explanation! That all makes sense, I hope Tesla can keep everyone on the latest car build from here on out but I suspect there must be SOME ties from the AP firmware to the car’s firmware that make this more difficult than it seems.

Discuss: Tesla Officially Unveils the 2025 Model Y - New Turn Signal Stalk, Front Camera, New Color, Light Bars and More

I’ve seen speculation on the Frunk, so that’s not ‘confirmed’ and who knows what we’ll get here in the states. Sure hope the re-tooling goes quickly. Just saw a vid that was over my head saying the gen 2 4680s were a little more energy dense (like 11% if I understood) so that’ll be nice too...

Discuss: Tesla Officially Unveils the 2025 Model Y - New Turn Signal Stalk, Front Camera, New Color, Light Bars and More

We have a highland 3 and the turn signal thing is no big deal. Remember when you had to look at the screen for your current speed vs having a speedo in front of you? It took about that long. But whatever, stalks, no Stalks, whatever gets the world to move on and talk about stuff that matters...

Discuss: Tesla Officially Unveils the 2025 Model Y - New Turn Signal Stalk, Front Camera, New Color, Light Bars and More

Slick. While I am not a big fan of the light bar in front and some other cosmetic things this looks like a nice bump. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what arrives here in the US as far as color options and stalks. Here’s hoping the improved range and charging speed make it here!

Discuss: Tesla Model Y Juniper - Everything We Know Thanks to Latest Leaks

So maybe those images are from a P car since the front end has the openings on the sides (like the P3 does now)? Interesting that you can not see a front facing camera bump! Perhaps the pic is just not close enough or with the kind of lighting that would show a FF camera. I wouldn’t doubt that...

Discuss: More Leaks and Images of the New 2025 Model Y (Juniper)

There are now pics with no covering circulating. Gotta say- not a fan of the front. Why keep the side openings when they lost them on the new 3 (except for the P car)? Too much going on IMO but then that's just me looking at pics vs seeing it IRL. Regardless of the exterior - I'm sure the...
