Discuss: Musk Reveals Tesla Owners With Hardware 4 Will Continue To Face FSD Beta Delays

Yes, I think this is a pattern with Tesla - build the new thing that is technically better than the old thing but isn't quite caught up yet. It's very frustrating to have your car be different than everyone else's. However, they tend to catch up and overtake older designs eventually. Tesla is...

Discuss: 2023.32 Official Tesla Release Notes

Ok, I think I've given up on trying to decode the FSD updates. The most recent FSD Beta (11.4.7) is based on 2023.7.30 but "latest" FSD Beta 11.4.4 is based on 2023.26.10. But wait, FSD Beta 11.4.4 that is installed in my MX right now is based on 2023.7.20. Does this mean that I'm running...

Discuss: FSD Beta 11.4.4 (2023.26.10) Official Tesla Release Notes

Yeah, I was hoping for a bit more but it would be enough just to get off of 2023.7!

Discuss: Tesla Updates App, Adds Siri and Automation Support Through Apple Shortcuts

Unfortunately, I still have to use the "unofficial" Shortcuts to roll up the windows in my 2020 MX. I was hoping that these shortcuts would allow window roll up; I don't know what I was thinking.

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

I really do like my 2020 MX but some of the quirks are just annoying. I LOVED the A/C system in the 2020 MY; everything from the heat pump to the automatic dashboard louvers. The 2020 MX has neither of those niceties. Plus the newer MXs (and all the MY/M3) are getting all the good updates...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces New Wall Connector With Magic Dock Type Solution

This is absolutely brilliant! I've thought about getting a truck and the F150 Lightning is in the running, but how would I charge it? Install another charger from another manufacturer? If so, then I can't share my single 60A circuit and would have to run another circuit probably at a lower...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

So, I have a 2020 MX with FSD. Can I purchase a new Standard Range MX, get the federal tax incentives, and transfer my FSD to the new MX? 🤔 If so, I might be able to pull off a lateral upgrade (almost) to a brand new car.

Discuss: Elon Musk Promises 'Super Good' Autowiper Performance With Latest Iteration

The interesting thing is that I loved the auto-wipers on my 2020 MY and couldn't understand why everyone was complaining. Then I traded the MY for a 2020 MX and now I understand. I'm not sure why there is such a big difference, but the MX auto-wipers are ... not great. Granted the last update...

Discuss: Researchers Discover Tesla Jailbreak That Allows Access to In-Car Upgrades

This is awesome! It just shows that if a human can build it, another human can take it apart. However, it also gives Tesla the opportunity to secure the system a bit more and that's a good thing.

Discuss: Tesla Cybertruck: More Insight into the Mysterious Frunk

You know, I think it's kinda nice to see the scale of the Cybertruck. When it was first announced I was under the impression that it was going to be some super huge monster that wouldn't fit into a "normal" garage. But seeing it next to a Model Y in that picture and in front of the Rivian RT1...

Discuss: Master of Coin Departs: A Look at Zachary Kirkhorn's Impact on Tesla

Wow, I think 13 years at a company is quite a run. Maybe he just wanted a different challenge? Maybe he want's some time off to go hiking or enjoy his kids (if he has any). Everyone is making a big deal of this but I say "Congratulations! Enjoy the next stage of your life!"

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to v4.23.5, adds Tesla Electric Check and Other Minor Changes

Updates to the phone key would be great. On my old MY the phone key worked almost all the time but it could use some improvements. Unfortunately my 2020 MX doesn't use a phone key so this update doesn't really hold anything for me. 😥

Discuss: New Tesla Cybertruck Details Suggest Price, Ventilated Seats, and Lack of Exoskeleton

One of the big problems that Ford is dealing with is dealer gouging; and it's not just their EV line. My son just purchased a Ford Maverick truck and "only" had to pay $3,000 over sticker to get it. Some F-150 Lightning trucks are seeing $10-20k worth of "dealer fees" tacked on to the price of...

Discuss: 2023.26.1 Official Tesla Release Notes

Please, one more time, update FSD Beta to use a single stack and keep it current. I'm over here on 11.4 and feeling more left behind with every release. 😭

Discuss: Original Tesla Cybertruck Concepts Unveiled: The Making of a Sci-Fi Reality

I really like some of those designs. I think the ones with the high "belly" seem to be most intriguing. Also, the quote of "why doesn't the future look like the future" kind of resonates with me as well. Why doesn't it? In the 80's all of the future stuff seemed to be really angular...

Discuss: Tesla Changes Free Color Option, Pearl White Gets the Boot for the Model 3 and Y

I was going to pillar delete kit, which makes the car look like it has a black top. However, I sold the car before I could make it happen. Slightly related question about wrap. If you wrap just a small piece of your car, does the other paint fade over time? So when you take off the wrap you...

Discuss: Tesla Changes Free Color Option, Pearl White Gets the Boot for the Model 3 and Y

I hear what you're saying. I purchased a new 2020 MY and had one of the first Tesla's in my area of town. It was white (of course) but that was OK because there were so few around that I still felt special. Now, there are tons of Tesla's in my area (which is a good thing) but most of them are...

Discuss: 2023.26 Official Tesla Release Notes

At least it looks like most of these updates are available to newer and legacy models. 😃 As a 2020 MX owner, I get really disappointed when I see the "New X" moniker on a feature/update. Especially one that doesn't really have anything to do with newer hardware; specifically the navigation...
