Elon's predictions sometimes aren't fully realized, but even if he manages to increase production by 1.5x with the same amount of effort and the same factory floor space as it takes to build one M3, it will be a new disruptor for the auto industry. If he continues to make his patents freely available to the rest of the auto industry, it will still take them five to ten years to catch up with Tesla in profitability. Bodes well for Tesla stockholders.
