Got it in Portland, Oregon. There’s nothing about it in the software update info window but when you punch in destination, you have options now.

I have 2022.28.1, am in the USA, and haven't had the alternate routes feature activated yet so I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works.
Can anyone confirm whether it can have routes that avoid crossing country borders?
Ideally that would be a preference setting, but I see that google maps shows me a route via Canada (fastest) as well as a US route (via PA and OH) when traveling between NY state and MI state.

That's an interesting scenario I hadn't really thought about. I can confirm that 2022.28 unfortunately doesn't include any new 'avoid' options such as highways or country borders.

That's interesting as I'm in the UK and got alternate routes with 2022.28.1- seems to work fine but only stays available for a few minutes before defaulting to the route first displayed. (Need to be prompt with a decision!)

I installed the 2022.28.1 version yesterday and found that indeed it gives alternate routes. But it is not mentioned in the release notes. It just gives gray routes apart from the preferred ones on the screen. You could easily miss it in all the gray..... Personally I am also hoping for a bit more colorful map without having to go to the satellite view in the future. Anyway, I am based in the Netherlands

I got the first release on tue and the update yesterday alternate route is awesome why I was selected I don’t know . I can only guess since my car has fsd and my safety score is 100 is my only guess .
