Instead of fixing windshield wipers... if someone is so dumb to open the windows while inside a carwash tunnel (let alone running a brand new 60k+ car through it - manual washing always) they deserve to take a shower.

Today it was pouring with rain. What do we have cameras and AI for, if not expecting that after a f*****g dry tunnel there would be a f*****g wet shower blinding the driver completely, so probably best start with the same speed as before the tunnel began immediately, rather than waiting 2 seconds? At 130km/h that's 72 meters (approx 14 cars) of pure danger.

But - hell, no - better preventing idiots from getting wet for being idiots.

I wholeheartedly agree. I live in South Florida, where it tends to rain frequently and randomly. Here, the wipers are constantly either too slow, too fast, or sometimes even nonreactive, and it is frankly infuriating. They even have a tendency to go off when at an intersection (stop sign or traffic light) and a large vehicle passes by. Overall, these are some of the worst automatic wipers on the market, and I really hope they can improve them further. There has to be some way that they can improve them, even if that means having to offer a retrofit for a rain sensor or some other option. Maybe instead of using just the front camera also use the side and rear camera? I don't know, but at this point I just want them to be better. It is shocking to me that they are full steam ahead with a robotaxi launch, but their wipers can't even operate properly. How do they plan to operate this network reliably in even slightly inclement weather?

Or - What's more frustrating is if they had a stalk control, we wouldn't be complaining, probably. I don't recall my current/previous Mercedes/BMW/Audi being 100% accurate (not this inaccurate though), what I do recall is that with a simple gesture - most important without having to look at anything, eyes on the road for f**k sake - I could fix the dangerous situation.

That's food for though, dear Tesla: if you aren't 100% sure about your product don't try to "disrupt" for the sake of it, by removing things which had a reason to be there, probably just because you did not understand the product enough - yet.

Now, the easiest I have is pressing the steering wheel button, which I need to remember it's been recently connected to the volume dial (****), which has exactly the same shape as the speed control dial, but - hey - I always have the alternative to distract myself even further and search for the transient mode selector on the central touchscreen.

And I fly airplanes. For all ADHDers out there, looks like these aren't cars for you... so much for "accessibility", "UX design", etc.
