Discuss: Tesla Update Will Offer Waze-like Features, Displaying Accidents, Road Closures and Toll-Free Option

Yes. I've tried multiple times to get it to display, but no dice. It looks like the "legacy" models are left behind (once again). :(

    Discuss - Version 2023.44.30.9

Wow, those parking lot maneuvers are GREAT! The biggest problem I've had with FSD on local roads is the jerky steering and acceleration stuff. If there is any question at all the car just stops and starts and makes the passengers sick. v12 looks much more confident in its decisions.

Discuss: Tesla Update Will Offer Waze-like Features, Displaying Accidents, Road Closures and Toll-Free Option

I just hope these features make it to the "legacy" cars. My 2020 MX still doesn't have the traffic lights and speed camera icons in navigation. 😡

Discuss: Tesla Unveils New Wheel Caps for Cybertruck: A Fresh Look with Pirelli Scorpion ATR [VIDEO]

It seems like there have been a couple of weird "why wasn't this caught in testing" things with the CT. Having wheel caps rub on the tires seems like one of those things. Maybe they didn't drive the truck very much with the wheel caps on. Maybe they were constantly taking them on/off (ie...

Holy carp, it might actually be beneficial to NOT be on the latest release!

Just got 44.30.14 on my 2020 MX. 🤷‍♂️

Discuss: Elon Musk Debunks Misreported Tesla Incident: Setting the Record Straight on FSD and Safety

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure I trust the CEO of the company when it comes to proving that something is true. It would be much better if some other party (NHTSA?) could say that the car was not under computer control at the time or that the FSD software was not even installed.

Discuss: Elon Musk Debunks Misreported Tesla Incident: Setting the Record Straight on FSD and Safety

It is tragic that someone lost their life in this accident, but I'm not sure it was the fault of the car. The driver was very drunk and shouldn't have been operating a vehicle at all. My take is that autonomous driving is probably a net win for everyone. Sure there are going to be accidents...

Discuss: Tesla Cybertruck Turns the Tables, Shows Power in Snow Pull, Demonstrates Distorted Media Coverage [Video]

I'm betting that one truck pulling another truck out of a sticky situation is pretty common in the "off-road" world. Sure, the CT was on dry pavement but that doesn't really diminish the event. One thing is certain, if the roles were reversed more people would have heard about it. However...

Discuss: Tesla Updates Prices and Talking Points ahead of Super Bowl

@PrescottAZRichard congratulations on your new car! Yes, the new MY models are supposed to be much better. In particular the suspension and the noise level. The only worrisome thing is the lack of USS, but I guess that's not as critical on the MY as it is on the MX (eg. falcon wing doors)...

Discuss: Understanding the Blue Snowflake Icon in Your Tesla

I'm not sure, but I don't think the "legacy" cars have the blue snowflake; at least not in the car itself. The battery temp indicator in my car is a circular gauge that shows power output as well as regeneration. When the battery is cold the bottom (regeneration) part of the gauge is a dotted...

Nope. The "legacy" cars didn't get the text update. ☹️

Discuss: 2024.2.3 Official Tesla Release Notes

I admit that I got a bit excited when I saw "Text Size" in the description. Arggg... unfortunately its just the size of the federally mandated warning symbols. @tesla when are we getting larger, more contrasted text for other things? I'm getting real tired of squinting at my dark gray on...

Discuss: Upcoming Tesla Software Update Will Remind You to Plug In Your Vehicle If You Forget

Who doesn't plug in every night?!?! Seriously though, that seems like a cool feature. Especially if they hook up some AI that knows if I deviate from my usual plug-in pattern. In my 3 years of Tesla ownership I think I've only forgotten to charge once or twice.

Discuss: Should Tesla Have Prioritized Its Next-Gen Vehicle 'Redwood' Over the Cybertruck?

I think the CT was a test-bed for the future Tesla platform. 48v architecture, front bumper camera, etc. are all things that will be included in future Tesla cars. These things are probably expensive to develop so they need to introduce them on an expensive car. NOTE: I'm not an automobile...

    Frustrating wiper controls.

I always thought the wipers on my MY were just fine; no problems at all. I had no idea what everyone was complaining about. Then I traded the MY for my MX (same year) and the wipers are just horrible. I"m not sure what the difference is but now I understand what people were complaining about...

Discuss: 2024.2.2.1 Official Tesla Release Notes

I'm liking the Additional Vehicle Information panel. Not that I'm planning on doing any 3rd party NACS charging, but it would be nice to know if my car is capable. My first thought is that it's not since I don't have the CCS module installed. If that's the case, and installing the CCS module...

Discuss: Tesla Cybertruck's Aero Cover Dilemma and the Role of Goodyear

Right!?!? How did they miss this? If this only happened to a small percentage of the vehicles due to some alignment problems or something I can see not finding it. But there are no that many CT's on the road so even a few is a large percentage. If something this simple made it past the final...

Discuss: Musk Says Tesla Will Hold Vote to Move to Texas: Is This a Strategic Decision or Knee-Jerk Reaction?

Well, it's my understanding that everyone incorporates in Delaware because of tax reasons. I guess forgoing those savings is worth it. Honestly, I think it's a knee jerk reaction and Musk should just calm down. I agree that Musk did gamble a lot to save the company so he deserves some...
