I wonder if this will possibly eventually be classified as a necessary recall by the NHTSA. I love my Model 3, but the fact that the rear doors are so hard to operate in the case of an emergency is a massive oversight in my opinion. Not only that, but I have 2 children that sit back there the majority of the time, and I can guarantee that they would not be able to open those doors if power was lost. I'm glad they are finally addressing it, but hopefully it will be something that can be added to existing vehicles.
