Jeez. Way to F up a good opportunity. I guess one GOOD thing here is the LFP battery, assuming it is healthy / appropriate to charge to 100% often. I remember when my ‘86 Mustang GT was fast 0-60 at 6 seconds . That’s prolly still plenty fast enough for an economy car.

They didn't lower the acceleration time. That would be a good thing. They increased it, or they degraded it, or they lowered the acceleration performance. It might sound like a detail, but as journalists you're actually expected to master basic English to the limited extent of not saying the exact opposite of the actual information.

Oh wow, can’t believe I didn’t notice that. Good catch, lowering the time would = higher performance.
What Tesla actually did was CORRECT the time. Twice. .
Still not sure why Tesla is bringing the ‘premium’ RWD 3 in with a less-than-premium battery pack when they prolly could have brought a standard in with that same pack and sold it for $5k less.
Does that make sense? Not that I know better than Tesla.

I want to believe that they did this because of the battery chemistry, but I know they likely did it because they want to align it more to the price of that particular model and want to incentivize people to upgrade to a higher trim.
