I think this is getting old already.

There's too much obsession about acceleration. If one thing, Tesla was the first company to "democratize" excessively fast cars, basically the Ikea of wannabe racers. Except, drag races are a thing only in the U.S. (...)

I would have purchased a long range with sports interiors and suspensions, without the losing on range in favor of excessive HPs.

And actually I'm still intrigued in testing the 2WD (front-only) drive that Commander offers, and look ad the difference between front and rear drive (no clue why all these are rear drive, contrary to general wisdom that rear is less controllable in dangerous situations). Has anyone tried?

I am of the mindset that if you want extra speed well into your ownership of the car, then why not allow someone to do that.

Here I am a little over a year into the ownership of my 2024 Model 3 LR, and I am still waiting for the acceleration boost option to be available here in the US.

However, what I don't understand is how Tesla will implement the option. Will they increase the top speed cap of the long range? Or will they keep the same speed limit cap of 125MPH? What fun is it to get to that speed cap faster? I also don't understand why they can't allow the car to have 3 acceleration options, similar to the performance model. Why do they have to only allow chill and sport once you have the acceleration boost? Why can there not be chill, standard, and sport? Surely, it isn't beyond them to be able to allow the owner to decide how they want to drive the car and how efficient they want it to be.

I guess we will have to wait and see.
