Tesla made this feature for an unrealistic danger that almost never happens-so now the morons want to test it. I say follow thru with the fine.
You want a real feature that works a lot better and solves the problem of VEHICLE theft. Install a DRAIN BATTERY feature that can be activated in emergency scenarios from your APP. Car is stolen-U tap the tab-enter a code-it instantly drains the battery.

Car slows to a crawl, warning lights on display screen, car cannot be recharged until app is near and code is entered. Once code is entered U have enough charge to get to a supercharger. Theft is more likely to happen than someone shooting at your tesla while charging.
