I don't know how many people actually listened to the earnings call, but there was one particular comment that came to my attention regarding HW3 and the potential hardware upgrades they are planning for those that fully purchased FSD. When asked the question (can't recall who it was directed at or who answered), they specifically mentioned the hardware upgrade path but didn't specify whether the hardware upgrade would be to HW4 or HW4.5, which is a major red flag, in my opinion. It seems that they are waiting to see which hardware version will be capable of some form of unsupervised FSD in regular customer cars to begin those upgrades.

This leads me to believe that they truly have no clue whether or not HW4 will be capable of unsupervised learning or that they truly haven't planned this out at all, beyond the extent of saying that it will happen at "some point."
