Yes.

That's not just a purely selfish answer on my part. FUSC and FSD paid for should have a value in insurance claims. FSD was $8k last I saw it and FUSC was $4k for a short time and that wasn't totally the same as it was only for 4 years I think.

this is a no brainer--if u bought fsd and were in a accident..........U want people to subscribe to FSD ?

Yes reintroduce FSD back into their cars, its as easy and should be implemented the moment U purchase ANOTHER TESLA.

Easy answer, yes.

At worst, they should at least allow it to be transferred for a small fee that insurance could cover. If you don't give those loyal customers that option, they may not only not subscribe to FSD, but then you will likely also lose them as a future customer for another car purchase. And to make matters worse, you could also end up creating a scenario where that person will then go on to tell everyone they know that they should not buy a Tesla because of that poor treatment. It's a losing situation for all involved.

I would also agree on yes, but this is the opposite of what Tesla wants. Their goal is that eventually all the lifetime FSD Cars will someday be totaled by age, thats why they only offer subscription now. Even if you allow FSD Transfer for vehicles totaled in accidents, where do you draw the line, what is the base for the decision? You could also have an accident, but your car is also really old by then. What do you do? Customers maybe even "wanting an accident" or seeking a crash that totales their Tesla just to get to transfer FSD to their new Tesla. People do not want their car to get "totaled by age".

You bring up some valid points about the complexity of the issue. But I think a lot of it can be solved by just having a one-time FSD transfer and not allowing that transfer across owners. They could even make it to where the FSD transfer eligibility is based on who the insurance company deems "at fault" in the accident. I think in the end, a single transfer wouldn't hurt their bottom line as much as we think it would. Because eventually all those cars that did purchase FSD would be off the road, even if they were to transfer it.
