A pricing or packaging change date is not a “timeline” for unsupervised autonomy readiness. A deadline for purchase options says nothing about when UFSD is achieved, where it is allowed, what safety target it meets, or what hardware it requires. You are implying a connection you have not established.

No one is saying you cannot think. The issue is that you are presenting conclusions as if they are grounded, while refusing to justify them. If you want your claims treated as more than opinion, you do have to support them. Otherwise, they are exactly what you later admit they are: estimates and speculation.

But “2027-28” is a specific range, and “UFSD will only work in hw5 cars” is a specific hardware gate. You cannot simultaneously claim you did not mention specifics while stating a year range and a hardware requirement.

That is not a logical chain. “HW4 may not be final” does not prove “HW4 cannot do UFSD.” It simply suggests future hardware will be better. That is true of literally every product cycle. “Common sense” is not evidence for “HW5 only.”

“Technically impossible” is a strong claim, and you have not supported it. Also, you keep sliding between different definitions without acknowledging it. “FULL UNSUPERVISED” could mean a geofenced pilot in limited markets, or it could mean broad consumer availability across wide geographies with “ZERO incidents.” Those are not the same claim, and the constraints are completely different. Pick one and argue it precisely.

The “LOL” and mockery do not add substance. If your actual position is simply “buying now is a bad value proposition,” then argue value. Say “subscription-only makes purchasing risky” or “competition will improve price pressure.” That is a reasonable opinion. What is not reasonable is pretending nobody can question your claims while you assert things like “UFSD will only work in hw5 cars” and “2027-28” as if they are grounded in more than vibes.

So I will ask again, in plain terms.

1. When you say “FULL UNSUPERVISED,” do you mean a limited pilot in a few markets, or broad consumer availability?
2. What is the basis for “UFSD will only work in hw5 cars,” beyond “common sense”?
3. If you cannot substantiate those, will you at least label them clearly as opinion instead of “facts”?

what are you even talking about? you are the only one here who made fun of people for having a different opinion. not only did you make fun of them, but your arguments made 0 sense because you flip-flopped between issues that no one brought up. there is nothing wrong with having a different opinion or viewpoint in a subject but you tried to make us feel like we were stupid for having a different perspective.

this is a forum with less than 10 active members. i genuinely don’t think anyone is trying to score social points like this is high school. it’s just a bunch of nerds talking about Tesla. and how does reposting what you said gain social points??

this is honestly just so funny because it sounds like you are describing yourself. i especially love the irritating part because i guarantee no one has been more controversial and irritating than you.

i don’t think it’s about being or sounding “educated”; it’s about being organized. whether you are arguing for one side or another, you have to at least make sure your “readers” understand what you are trying to say.

As an aside- I did some ignoring or hiding of people on FB forums, turns out when other posters quote them you’re still seeing the posts .
We’re all venting and speculating here. No one here knows the future of anything Tesla or otherwise.
Tesla has set up a similar phenomenon to what happens with iPhones (and I’m sure all brands) in that new models come out, software updates come out that make the old models better than they were, eventually the new models have features the old ones don’t get, people complain.
TRY to look at it like this - enjoy what you have. I remind myself to do this on a daily basis as FSD refuses to understand some very basic routing needs to negotiate the busiest interchange where I live. The rest of FSD has gotten so good that this bit really annoys the *&^% out of me. Then, after I get past that bit and it takes round-abouts perfectly I remember how impossible that seemed a year ago. Then it takes twisty mountain roads with ease and I remember how that seemed impossible years ago. Then on 4 separate occasions it pulls over for emergency vehicles before I saw them (and one was oncoming!) and I remember that didn’t happen months ago.
This is supposed to be a 14.2.2.3 thread so- it really was annoying yesterday in that it did the signal and hesitate to change lanes or abandon the attempt a few times. Also routing. Then for the other 98% of the drive it was great.

It looks like they may have stopped sending out 14.2.2.3? I haven't received it yet, and the trackers all seem to have slowed down a lot.

I have no idea why I got it. The only guess I have - that stupid start up glitch that gave me all those error codes and reduced my car to just a car. The service center tech said other cases of my oddity have been reported (not locally) and it will be fixed in a future update after sitting on my car for 5 days. I guess they were trying to get it to repeat the problem but no luck. Being a dot dot dot update I don't think we're missing out on much anyway. Some of the improvements I saw weren't repeatable sadly. Hit and miss, vs miss and miss before.

The service center tech said other cases of my oddity have been reported (not locally) and it will be fixed in a future update after sitting on my car for 5 days. I guess they were trying to get it to repeat the problem but no luck. Being a dot dot dot update I don't think we're missing out on much anyway. Some of the improvements I saw weren't repeatable sadly. Hit and miss, vs miss and miss before.

It started, but all the tech stuff wasn’t working. So it drove just no assistance of any kind.

That seems like a very serious bug. I would have to assume that is the reason that they paused the rollout, especially if it has been reported my multiple people and the service centers are aware of the issue. Maybe this will mean we'll see another update this coming week, but probably without an FSD update.

Or maybe they have a new bug fix update or update for hw3. They often stop updates and skip to a bug fix, then send that out instead of the original update.

I just got the update, and it is downloading right now. It's weird that it slowed down so long.
