Speaking for myself, with my HW3/M3LR, I have had a shift in mindset about possible and upcoming software releases. I'm curious to know if others share the same sentiment.

I used to anticipate the next rollout, check the deployment rates, and eagerly wait for my turn. I've quit caring and watching. I've reached a point of acceptance that my car is likely nearing the end of the line for any significant improvements or FSD enhancements. This may be the pinnacle of my Tesla. I'm still making payments, so I'll drive this into the ground. I'm certain if I continue with EVs beyond that, it will not be a Tesla. I believe other companies will surpass them in some meaningful way in the future.

The way I felt in early 2022 is gone. Now, it's blah.

I hear ya.
That said- I doubt any other EV companies will leap over what Tesla is doing but time will tell.
The 'fleet' has gotten huge and the updates lately have been slower, at least for FSD. For the car's software they haven't slowed much if at all. Each one seems to add a useful feature that we didn't have before. This .20 build for example has had a dot update of its own already which isn't good, except that it hadn't gone out to all of us before being updated. I'm happy to have more stable builds less frequently and that is what has happened.

I think we are all feeling the same. They paved the way, but spread too thin and lost focus on things that don't matter. Like the entire CyberTruck project, for starters.

Not meant as shade if one likes the CyberTruck, but I'd be embarrassed to own one now. According to the news, I've read that they've had their share of problems. And if I made an early reservation for the Roadster; I'd be unhappy it still isn't a thing. I don't follow that stuff closely, but I'm not sure if it's on the roadmap anymore.

I feel the same, nowadays almost all new Features come with either the "Only Ryzen" or "Only HW4" tag. I will do the same, drive the car as long as it lives and likely have another EV brand in the future.

The frustrating thing is that some of these "Only Ryzen" updates could easily be made for us legacy owners. Why can't we show traffic lights on the map? Why do I only have a single, default light show? Sure, some of these things are trivial but that's one thing that I really like(d) about Tesla; they do a lot of cool things that are kinda trivial. Joe Mode is my favorite example. It's a great feature and not one that I would expect any traditional automaker to adopt.

Yeah, and a great example for this is the last year christmas feature where the ryzen cars got the new 3D Park Assist Feature. First i thought "ok, it probably needs a lot more processing power". But the funny thing is, as soon as i activate the Autopark feature to let it park itself, i see the new 3D Park Assist View on my screen with an MCU 2 / HW3 Vehicle and it does not lag or anything. But when parking manually, no matter if its reverse or forward, i still have the old view with only 2D Proximity lines, which are probably the readings from the USS still. So if the vehicle is able to visualize and process the new 3D Park Assist, why not enable it for manual parking too like it is done in the Ryzen Vehicles? Why only show it when using Autopark? Doesnt make sense to me :D The same thing goes for many other features we are missing out without ryzen, but i find this one the most funny example because you can literally see it working on Autopark ;)

I am by no means a software engineer, but maybe the reason that you can see it in Autopark but not while manually parking is because it is using the FSD computer to show it during Autopark. Whereas when you are manually parking, it reverts to using the normal MCU processor that displays all the other information normally.

I don't know about the Roadster either, but sure it would have been much more interesting that the CyberAberration, which was Elon's declared pet project. It would have competed with the likes of Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and offered a fully electric convertible. Nowadays if you wanted a real 4 seater electric convertible, you should get a Maserati Folgore. Basically they left the market to the MG Cyberster.
