How does Rivian's mobile app compare to Tesla's?

Have you asked this on TMC? I bet you’d get some responses there. We have our local EV club meeting tomorrow morning, I’ll try to remember to ask this as I know at least one person has experience with both. Harvey Payne, he’s on TMC too. I’ll shoot him a message so I don’t forget. He has a HW3...

Discuss: Tesla Model Y Earns Top Safety Pick+ Award from IIHS

Top safety pick plus means it costs more but no ads. Right?

Discuss: Tesla's Cybercab Launch Event: How to Watch & What to Expect

Out of Spec BITS has the presentation up on YT now. All Stuff we already knew so far :) I’d love to have this as a ‘round town car and stop putting miles on the S. Not that I can afford one now, because of the S. :P

Discuss: Tesla Launches Dog Mode Collection With Plushie, Toys and Apparel

Glad I’m not the only one. Either we are ALL sick bastards, or the photo is disturbing :)

Discuss: Tesla Influencer Sends Speeding Ticket to Tesla Over FSD

I hear ya. I switch between chill and standard on a few roads to keep it reasonable. Chill is too slow, Standard goes too fast. My memory is that his wife was driving for that violation. That’s a cheap ticket BTW :) .

Ugh, what’s up with that doggy style pose in the photo and why is there a hole in that thing?

Discuss: Tesla Model 3 Gets More Range in Europe Thanks to Just One Improvement

DuckDuckGo found this for me. Looks like the tires are Giti? Maybe not a US brand name, not that I know tire brands. https://www.basenor.com/blogs/news/tesla-model-3-rwd-gains-24-miles-of-range-in-europe-thanks-to-new-tires

Discuss: Tesla Improves Auto Windshield Wipers, More Changes Coming In FSD V14.3

SO, I think I have realized something worth repeating here. IF your autowipers just go full speed even when not needed - you might need the front camera area cleaned. My GF’s 2024 3 LR does this on 14.3.8 and previous builds, where as my 2026 S LR doesn’t. I‘m sure during one of my tire...

Discuss: Tesla Model 3 Gets More Range in Europe Thanks to Just One Improvement

Every little bit counts. Hopefully they aren’t sacrificing noise. If I’m getting 400 miles range at 42psi then I should get 800 at 84 psi, right? I’m kidding of course but I think one of the Out of Spec guys did this with a Silverado to double its range!

    Cybercab Spotting

Something has got to be up, there are a lot of those CCs in lots. Shows that Tesla has confidence in the current hardware & software. Looking forward to the 3rd!

Discuss: Tesla Raises Cybertruck Prices by $5,000 — Will It Be Discontinued?

I gotta say- it wouldn't break my heart if it gets discontinued. Hopefully they'll come out with the 500+ mile truck when the tech is there to do that without a 9000# vehicle. I also HOPE that folding stainless steel tech pays off somehow for all the work that went into it. Even if it's not in a...

Discuss: Tesla’s Solar Roof Is Being Discontinued After 10 Years

Rough. This was a great idea. Maybe someone else can pull this off. Good news - one less operation sapping resources.

Discuss: Tesla Says Cybercab Is Just the Start, With More Robotaxi Vehicle Types Planned

That's not really a surprise. I think what worries a lot of long time Tesla fans is- are they gonna make drivable cars for 'us' to buy. It'll be a while before people are comfortable buying cars with no controls. Tesla making a statement about this to reassure us will go a long way.

Discuss: Tesla Model Y L Beats Range Estimates in Real-World Test

Very happy to see the Y L outperforming. Hope they bring that same over achiever results to the Y Premium LR in the future. FWIW- I'm seeing over achievements with my '26 S LR. After 13,800 miles I'm at under 218 wh/mile with about 31% supercharging which means about 31% driving on mountain...

    FSD stacking stops

That would be great! You are more 'planned out' than I am apparently, but when we go shopping we do that kind of route with multiple stops. In the meantime have you tried telling Grok to navigate to all those places? I think that should work. 'Should' !

Discuss: Tesla Roadster Is ‘Very Soon,’ Franz Says as 10-Year Anniversary Approaches

Too late for me. I took that non-existent $250k I had set aside for the Roadster and invested it elsewhere. I kind of like the idea of activating some kind of air jets on the car while in my garage. Would clean the place out pretty fast.

Discuss: Does Your Tesla Have a Recall? Here’s How to Find Out

I love that we can easily copy the VIN from the Tesla app and paste it into websites like the ones mentioned. Same with seeing the mileage in the App.

Interesting. I’ll have to figure that out. Got the 2026 map update, did nothing for improper lane selection sadly.

Discuss: Should Tesla Allow FSD Transfers on Totaled Vehicles?

Yes. That's not just a purely selfish answer on my part. FUSC and FSD paid for should have a value in insurance claims. FSD was $8k last I saw it and FUSC was $4k for a short time and that wasn't totally the same as it was only for 4 years I think.

Glad Tesla got this done quickly for the HW3 cars. Sure hope they can make any damaged HW3 car owners ‘right’ .
