At least they answered that a Hardware Upgrade is still "planned" by Tesla for HW3 Owners, but still no time frame for it. It seems like V14 lite is coming late June or July so the hardware retrofit is for sure starting in 2027 earliest i guess :D Better than nothing! I hope its not taking too...

Well - it seems like HW3 is getting left behind in the EU until V14 lite maybe, so the wait is on again :D

Also, i will be (for other reasons) in the Netherlands from 14. to 17. May - if its not approved in my country by then, maybe i am able to test it on my car when i'm there :p

For sure! I am interested in how good the HW3 FSD will do in my area where you can encounter streets with no lane markings at all, and a lot of mountain driving is near. I will for sure test some tricky roads because im just curious :D

Sounds a bit too optimistic. But time will tell how much this will help keeping HW3 Vehicles alive with FSD, i will not put much hope on Tesla putting so much energy in developing this approach just for legacy vehicles to stay alive. It's probably not worth the cost for Tesla, can understand...

Well, turns out it did not get any better with 2026.8.3 on HW3 - still brutal acceleration in stop and go traffic with hard braking afterwards, no smooth sailing... So still not really usable for such situations. Come on, FSD! Be released in EU finally :D Fingers crossed for 10.04. 🤞

Yeah they are behind the interior door cover, but try to unmount that in an emergency situation, and also, your passengers, which maybe do not ride in a Tesla too often, forget where this manual release is located the second after i tell them XD

I would appreciate a recall. I can not even retrofit manual emergency release handles for my legacy M3, it only has them in the front doors. Back seat passengers are currently just trapped on power outage :(

Interesting! Mine still accelerates and brakes too hard in stop-and-go traffic, but i am still on 2026.2.6 - seems like HW3 does not get the update yet or it comes in the next few days. I will test if it got better for me too or only for HW4
