With the supply of used R1S vehicles is getting more plentiful and affordable I am wondering how their software stacks up. I've test driven a Rivian several times but you can't really get a feel for the software in that short amount of time.
Are there any Rivian owners here that can comment...
Is it a crazy idea to get a MY for my elderly mother? Someone t-boned her old 2010 Toyota RAV4 and she's looking for a new car. She originally wanted to get a newer RAV4 but they are bigger than the 2010 and she's having difficulty getting in and out of it. Plus, I'm not sure if it would fit...
Just checking with anyone else to see if they've had any door issues with 2026.2.6 on a legacy MX. After this update it seems like my drivers door is not opening correctly, mainly while auto-opening. Sometimes it only pops open a little. Sometimes it pops open but is very slow to open all the...
Telsa (Elon) just announced that the Model X and S will be discontinued in Q2 2026. The space in the Fremont factory that was dedicated to these two models will be converted to Optimus production.
There goes my hope of owning another Tesla vehicle. I really loved my MY when I had it but the...
With the Rivian R2 being release soon I've been thinking about home charging. I currently have a Tesla Wall Connector and charge my MX every night. The new R2 has a NACS charging port built-in (yeah!) and can use Tesla Superchargers for charging. My question is, if I were to sell the MX and...

Just received this update last night and the only change I can see in my car are the audio settings. You can now have multiple equalizer settings, which is cool. It would be nice if you could have multiple balance...

After 2025.20.6 I've noticed that my displays have a lot of "sparkles" in them. Both the binnacle and the main screen on my 2020 MX have tiny flashes of light in them. I only noticed it yesterday and thought maybe a...
I test drove a Rivian R1S last weekend and I really liked it. It was well built and very premium. It was also VERY quick, especially for such a large vehicle. My Tesla's have not been super high performance models but I'm fairly used to the acceleration of a good EV. The R1S was in another...
Tesla has released 2025.14.3.1 just days after 2025.14.3. I wonder what they changed?

BTW: 14.3 didn't fix the "Exclude at home" auto presenting doors on my 2020 MX. Maybe 14.3.1 will ... 🤣
I've noticed for the past couple of updates that my music is pausing, sometimes several times, during a song. It's just a very short pause (500ms?) but it's very annoying. At first I thought it may be something with Spotify or a network connection problem, but it's been happening for several...
I really love my Tesla and would never go back to an ICE vehicle. However, it's feeling like Tesla is not moving forward like they did before and there are a lot of competitors that have really caught my eye. I was really excited for the Cybertruck and I love the technical innovations but the...
My MX started displaying a "Replace low voltage battery" warning the other day. Everything seems fine so far and I have an appointment next week to get it fixed, however i was wondering if I should have a Ranger replace it sooner. There seem to be conflicting stories on the Internets about...
I got new tires yesterday (Michelin CrossClimate 2) and I really like them. Well, I've only driven 10 miles on them but so far they are great. The downside is that I noticed a small crack in my windshield on the drive home. The crack wasn't there before the store put on the new tires. I...
You know how all the Tesla YouTubers have the latest and greatest vehicles and are always posting the results of the latest software updates? Well, there should be a YouTube channel for those of us with legacy vehicles complaining about shit that doesn't work right in our cars. Just post a new...
This is a very good look into the thinking at Ford. If any legacy American car company has a chance at challenging Tesla I think it might be Ford.

Has anyone noticed that failing / failed LED street lights are showing up as green traffic lights in the binnacle? I'm not sure if this a recent thing or not because the LED street lights near just started failing. As you might know, some LED lights have a phosphor coating that causes blue LED...
According to TeslaFi, this is the first 2024.x.y release that includes FSD v12.x.y. There may be hope for us "legacy" owners yet!
