Discuss: 2024.2.3 Official Tesla Release Notes

Nope. The "legacy" cars didn't get the text update. ☹️

Discuss: 2024.2.3 Official Tesla Release Notes

I admit that I got a bit excited when I saw "Text Size" in the description. Arggg... unfortunately its just the size of the federally mandated warning symbols. @tesla when are we getting larger, more contrasted text for other things? I'm getting real tired of squinting at my dark gray on...

Discuss: Upcoming Tesla Software Update Will Remind You to Plug In Your Vehicle If You Forget

Who doesn't plug in every night?!?! Seriously though, that seems like a cool feature. Especially if they hook up some AI that knows if I deviate from my usual plug-in pattern. In my 3 years of Tesla ownership I think I've only forgotten to charge once or twice.

Discuss: Should Tesla Have Prioritized Its Next-Gen Vehicle 'Redwood' Over the Cybertruck?

I think the CT was a test-bed for the future Tesla platform. 48v architecture, front bumper camera, etc. are all things that will be included in future Tesla cars. These things are probably expensive to develop so they need to introduce them on an expensive car. NOTE: I'm not an automobile...

    Frustrating wiper controls.

I always thought the wipers on my MY were just fine; no problems at all. I had no idea what everyone was complaining about. Then I traded the MY for my MX (same year) and the wipers are just horrible. I"m not sure what the difference is but now I understand what people were complaining about...

Discuss: Tesla Woos New and Existing Customers with Extended Free Supercharging Offers

I just looked (briefly) at trading in my MX and I wouldn't get much for it. :(

Discuss: 2024.2.2.1 Official Tesla Release Notes

I'm liking the Additional Vehicle Information panel. Not that I'm planning on doing any 3rd party NACS charging, but it would be nice to know if my car is capable. My first thought is that it's not since I don't have the CCS module installed. If that's the case, and installing the CCS module...

Discuss: Tesla Cybertruck's Aero Cover Dilemma and the Role of Goodyear

Right!?!? How did they miss this? If this only happened to a small percentage of the vehicles due to some alignment problems or something I can see not finding it. But there are no that many CT's on the road so even a few is a large percentage. If something this simple made it past the final...

Discuss: Musk Says Tesla Will Hold Vote to Move to Texas: Is This a Strategic Decision or Knee-Jerk Reaction?

Well, it's my understanding that everyone incorporates in Delaware because of tax reasons. I guess forgoing those savings is worth it. Honestly, I think it's a knee jerk reaction and Musk should just calm down. I agree that Musk did gamble a lot to save the company so he deserves some...

Discuss: Tesla's Latest Recall: A Closer Look at the Over-the-Air Update for Font Size Issue

I thought the "park" and "break" symbols were pretty standard. At least they look like the symbols I had in my '08 Audi A4. 🤷‍♂️ Either way, the new symbols appear to be even smaller than the old ones. Unless the pictures in the article have been scaled in some way. Also, when are we going...

Tesla upgrades MY in China to FSD Hardware 4.0

Discuss: Should Tesla Adopt a "FSD" Light To Let Others Know Autopilot Is Active?

Before reading the article I thought the idea was a good one. After reading the article, I agree that American drivers might not be ready for this kind of information. I can definitely see someone trying to take advantage of a FSD car or even getting angry that it's happening at all. I have...

Discuss: Tesla Talks FSD: FSD V12 Rollout, Hardware 5, Miles Driven, Beta label and FSD Licensing

I did some small FSD driving on v11 this week and was pleasantly surprised. Turning corners after stop signs went really well and I didn't have to touch the accelerator petal even once. This just makes me more excited for v12 and I hope we get it before my trip to VA in March. 🤞

Discuss: Unveiling 'Redwood': Tesla's Answer to Mass Market EV Demands

I'm really hoping that it shows up with the good stuff from the CT; 48v system, steer-by-wire, front bumper camera, etc.

Discuss: Tesla Announces Upcoming Supercharger Locations Based on User Votes

@VoodooPriest, that's precisely the reason that Tesla is gathering votes on where to place a Supercharger station. Log into your Tesla account and add the location.

Discuss: Tesla Sets New Standards in Autonomy with FSD Beta v12.1.2 Launch

Wow, the more I see of v12 the more I like it. I just watched a video from Whole Mars Catalog that drove through SF and it looked great. I can't wait to get it and try it out myself!

Discuss: Tesla Sets New Standards in Autonomy with FSD Beta v12.1.2 Launch

The things that I noticed was the smooth turning. When I use FSD at stop signs the turning is always jerky and off-putting. v12 looks sooo much better! My goal for FSD is to be more human like. Some things that bug me in the v11 FSD are: Don't drive in the middle of the road when you...

Discuss: Tesla's Cybertruck is Capturing the Imagination of the Next Generation

Agreed. I'm hopeful that some of things trickle down to other vehicles, especially 48v and steer by wire, but I'm kinda thinking that the Cybertruck is not going to be successful. I think the only way they could save it would be to come out with some big software updates to address things like...
