If not a hardware upgrade path at LEAST a software update before Q2 next year! Actually, when is Q2 technically? I was thinking April-June but the way biz quarters work that's prolly wrong. Even so, give them something. 12.4 is better than anything HW3 had before but I hope they can see some progress.
This question of HW3 upgrade coming has me thinking - IF Tesla did decide to upgrade to AI4 that would show confidence in AI4's ability to truly go unsupervised. So is the reverse true? By waiting is that Tesla admitting AI4 may NOT be capable? Or are they figuring it is best to do a retrofit once so wait until we know exactly what's needed?
How many HW3 cars with FSD can there be at this point?

i am very VERY interested in seeing how this is going to play out. at least they are getting more and more confident in what V14 can do (which i still haven’t tried it yet). so i wonder if they will only be able to upgrade the computer and not the cameras. the article didn’t seem to mention it.

Thats what i wonder about too. Its no true AI4 performance without the AI4 Cameras. The HW3 ones are very different. We can only see and wait how all of this plays out. Also, is the fact that most HW3 Vehicles run with the Intel Infotainment going to be another obstacle or not? Will only Ryzen Vehicles get the HW3 Update? Are there even Vehicles with this combination (Ryzen + HW3)?

i guess i will be able to try V14 soon. Tesla sent out a 30-day free trial, and i’m very excited!
