So, we're new to Tesla. Got it in March. We're subscribed monthly to FSD Beta so that we can test it out, and turn off/on the subscription, until we're ready to purchase it outright.

Is there any way to know/predict if/when newer firmware levels will get it? Right now we're just wasting monty paying...

You and many others...You are on the correct site for up-to-date info but its a waiting game right now...Dont agree to any "regular" updates, you will wind up putting yourself ahead of the FSDb updates and never get in...

We were on some 2023 level when we got it, and did 1 update to 2023.6.9. I assume it'll be many months at least before it catches up, so I assume the best thing to do is just cancel and wait it out. And, not do any updates, like you suggest.

Based on the latest info 2023.6.15 will be the latest FSDb...If you are on 6.9 just stay there. When its going to come out is a different ballgame, from what we know its in the employees' hands right now but have seen no vids on Youtube from early adopters and "influencers".

New to Model Y. subscribed to FSD. Paid 3 months, but no sign of FSD and no answers when I call
Tesla Support. I took delivery on Feb 28. It's my understanding that my car did not come with any older version of FSD installed, and therefore my car is awaiting the release of the new version. In other words, I did not get the older version and I can't get the new one until it's rolled out. So, it's useless to pay the monthly subscription. Anything I should be doing, other than cancelling my subscription?

Beta isn't a subscription. FSD is a subscription and you can get access to FSD beta later down the line.

So, here's the deal. My birthday was two days ago and, wouldn't you know it, I got the FSD Beta blue button download. So, the take away is: wait for your birthday and you too will get the FSB blue button.
