Tesla Makes Yoke Optional; New Wheel Coming to the Model 3 and Y?

Isn't the 3/Y steering wheel an inch or so smaller in diameter? So there would be a physical difference in the parts right? I suppose that even with that difference the touch-buttons and such are still the same so maybe that would be a gained efficiency.

I haven't seen an aftermarket Yoke in a 3/Y in person but the photos I've seen with the stalks certainly looked a little cluttered after seeing the S/X Yoke.
