With a chaser car following your every move, technically NOT unsupervised/monitored. They need to include the autonomy levels. This would be level 4-still has a steering wheel/pedals and physical car monitors.

Wondering how long before its deployed to our vehicles ?

I imagine that the chase car is just an added precaution for the time being, because that certainly cannot be commercially viable for the long term. You are now paying for a monitor to use an entirely separate car that isn't generating revenue just to follow a car that is generating revenue. That adds a ton of cost on an additional car that is gaining "wear", and an employee to sit in it and drive it, without any return. The other question this begs is, why? Are there any additional details as to why exactly they are doing it this way? Is it a requirement, is it due to an "abundance of caution", is it to satisfy the upcoming investor meeting questions?

So UFSD has an incident- what exactly does the car chaser driver do ?…..call tech support “hey the Tesla on UFSD just drove into head on traffic”. Not sure the purpose, surely grok can say goodbye to the passenger just before it calls tech support”…..then collides head on, why bother with a chaser.
