Tesla is continuing to refine how its vehicles communicate with drivers during autonomous maneuvers, including a new visual cue in the latest FSD builds

This might be Tesla laying groundwork for more advanced autonomy behaviors (at least better takeover/transition UX). A “keep hands ready” cue doesn’t prove Level 3 by itself, and L2 systems can use similar prompts, but clearer escalation and readiness messaging is exactly the kind of thing you’d expect if they’re preparing for more complex handoff scenarios later. Maybe they plan on doing some form of unsupervised driving in the near future, like on highways or in heavy traffic scenarios where speeds are low? I also wonder if this prolongs the "please pay attention to the road" messaging.
