I think it was the Electrified podcast where I heard the model Y was supposed to NOT have controls. I wouldn't doubt it!
The thing is- I just know in my heart that the tech will be ready LONG before governments allow it. There's also an anti self-driving vehicle vibe arising that needs to be addressed. Look at Boston for example. So Steering wheels and pedals are gonna be around for a while IMO.
