Seems like the whole HW3/HW4 Story will happen again with HW4/HW4+ - although its not that bad this time as cameras stay the same, its "only" the computer. But do they really wanna have to retrofit a ton of vehicles again? Or maybe they do achieve unsupervised FSD on Standard HW4 and there will be no retrofit because the promise was held (uFSD). HW4+ will then probably be an even better Version of uFSD in Terms of edge cases or safety i guess? Lets see how all of this will play out :)

Ya it’s pointless to give a fraction of improvement when HW5 might be the only viable solution.

I get it for older cars with hw2 -3 moving up to 4 will be awesome but hw5 is where everyone needs to to be.

All these minor fixes are just bandaid patches which all lead to HW5.

I'm guessing that they figured they can fit the larger model into the standard HW4 configuration, and what the HW4+ will bring is potentially faster reactions and improved safety, as you mentioned. What I'm really curious about is whether having or not having the front bumper camera will be a limiting factor and whether HW4 owners will get the ability to upgrade or even just purchase the parts and attempt the upgrade themselves.
