This is important. I'm sure Tesla being an insurance company helps them work quickly and efficiently to sort this out for the RT network.
Meanwhile I think Tesla is missing an opportunity with all of its drivers, why not give me a message in the Tesla app each month (or so) saying - based on your driving habits Tesla Insurance would be $X / month for you last month. I'd opt in to see what those numbers are.
I think there will always be arguments about liability if someone else is driving MY car and has a wreck. There will be questions of maintenance on the owner's part for sure. Great thing about EVs - not much to maintain. Also- Tesla cars are smart enough to know if you need alignment, when the last tire change was (if you put it in), etc.
Interesting times.
