If they aren't willing to give us the front bumper camera retrofit, what hope is there of them giving us this upgrade which is far more complex, especially with having to pipe lines to different parts of the car? I'm definitely not holding my breath for this one.

This is for newer models and for cybercabs. This seems like overkill and laziness-u don’t have a cam washer on yr car, boo hoo - get off yr butt and wipe/clean it yourself….takes 3 seconds.

Well, not quite - for everyday driving its no problem, you can just wipe it before you go. But on long trips, it can get dirty while on the road quite often, especially in Winter conditions. Not very convenient to stop every 30 min on the highway to wipe cameras. Then you can only use FSD for as long as cameras are not dirty.

Dude a quick splash of water ain’t gonna truly clean salt spray off the lens, the cams would be dirty every 15-20 minutes while driving not to mention all the fluid u would go thru. It’s not like wiper blades, it’s just some washer fluid on the lens at hwy speeds.

Manual wipe with some ANTI SALT spray would last longer, be cheaper and work better. Takes like 30 seconds-boom u done and protected.

Watch those videos of over spraying cam washers-all that wasted liquid dripping down the side of the cabs-stain streaks. This ain’t new tech-it’s been around for decades-it barely works.
