I don't think it is due to a hardware limitation and instead has more to do with the different size and shape of the vehicles themselves. This puts the cameras in slightly different positions and gives different view points, which I would imagine require additional validation and testing.

I think the reason is due to the larger number of MY and M3 cars compared to the MS/X. It seems like they run into the same issue as the Cybertruck, where there isn't as much training data on those models, so it takes longer to optimize those platforms. I'm sure it will make it to those models...
