Discuss: Tesla Update 2025.45.6 (FSD V14.2.2.1) Release Notes

It would have been a pleasant Christmas surprise if we, legacy owners, had received the FSD 13 or 14 lite version. I'm counting on it never happening. Tech moves fast, and tech companies are rarely in the business of supporting the old stuff anymore.

Discuss: Tesla Announces 2025 Holiday Update: Grok Commands, New Santa Mode, Dashcam FSD Overlay, But Lacks CarPlay

Like a birthday for older dudes, like me. Just another day.

Discuss: Tesla Delays Next-Gen AI5 to Mid-2027; Cybercab Will Launch on AI4 Hardware

I suspect that has a trickle-down impact on V13 or V14-lite for us losers in old (2022) cars.

Discuss: Tesla's 2025 Holiday Update: What to Expect This Christmas

I wonder if HW3 vehicles will get anything. I've had three updates in the last month or so, and none of them did squat except the .44 added the grid view to Dashcam. Woooooo.

Discuss: Tesla to Add 15 New Visualizations to FSD [Photos & Video]

I'll believe HW5, 6, 7...when I see (if I see it). Until AI is sentient, I don't think so to the point I can take a nap while driving. ICE vehicles continue to also get "hands off technology," but a human being WILL F things up. It's not a matter of trusting your Tesla. You also have to...

Discuss: Tesla to Add 15 New Visualizations to FSD [Photos & Video]

Honestly, I have no interest in unsupervised. Even if FSD were zero defects, it wouldn't fix the defects in other drivers on the road. I get it on geofenced Waymos, but I'm not going eyes-off on a 300 mile roadtrip, kicking back, and playing games on my phone. That said, I'd still like some...

Discuss: Tesla to Add 15 New Visualizations to FSD [Photos & Video]

I've never been a leaser. Had I really thought through the hardware implications, I might have gone that direction with a Tesla. Naively, I was thinking only of software. Surely, new hardware wouldn't be required every two years. Ha.

Discuss: Tesla to Add 15 New Visualizations to FSD [Photos & Video]

It's always interesting seeing how frequently people trade up. That's not my thing. I don't do it with my $1000 phone or my $55K car. I'm getting used to being left out of Tesla's focus. I sound like a broken record, but unless Tesla reaches unsupervised status on HW6 or 7 or 8, I see no...

Discuss: The “Standard” Tesla Experience: More Feature Cuts Revealed

It's one thing to deal with different versions of software depending on model, age, hardware, and chip. It's a whole other thing if they begin removing native car (not software) features. It's like going back to the day when a cassette player and AC were options. Most modern cars have heated...

HW3 Users: Why can't we just buy a HW4 computer and cameras instead of waiting ?

HW3 guy here on my 2022 M3LR. Regardless of what transpires for those of us who purchased FSD outright, there is no way in hell I would ever buy an AI4 or 5 Tesla until the day they have truly been approved as unsupervised and HW is no longer a rate limiter. I would have to be sure that the car...

Discuss: Tesla Update 2025.32.8.5 (FSD Supervised V14.1) Release Notes

For those stuck on V12 with HW3, I wish Tesla would share a true roadmap for FSD (and other features) rather than the hyperbole that comes out. We've heard rumblings of a HW replacement sometime down the road. We've gotten nothing in 2025 that are game changers. Just say if we're at the end of...

Discuss: Musk Reveals Tesla FSD V14 Rollout Plan, Starting Next Week

I've given up hope that we'll get a v13+. It's hard to describe how disenchanted I've become with a 2022 model purchased in Nov 21, over the last 1-2 years. I remember the excitement of waiting for my order. I couldn't care less anymore.

Discuss: Tesla Grok App: First Look at Its Interface and Features

Since things have almost stopped for Intel or HW3 guys, my mind has shifted toward it being "just another car." It's no longer as "cool" as it was. Ah well, I still have two more years of payments.

Discuss: Tesla Discusses HW3 Upgrade and Its Next-Gen AI5 FSD Computer

Yeah, I don't know. Good question. Is there "fine print" anywhere on this? I bought it outright when I ordered my car in late 2021 (2022 M3). At that time, it hadn't occurred to me that hardware limitations could exclude me from ever experiencing unsupervised FSD.

Discuss: Tesla Discusses HW3 Upgrade and Its Next-Gen AI5 FSD Computer

Exactly what I came to write. I plan to treat my 2022 M3LR like I would any car. Pay it off, drive it a bit longer, get something else. The article tells me all I need to know about the future. HW3 vehicles will receive minor tweaks and enhancements, perhaps a larger feature or two, but we are...

    Discuss: Tesla’s Next-Gen FSD Computer (HW5 / AI5) Rumored to Deliver 5x More Power

What I theorize is that unsupervised FSD will never happen. There will always be a HW or regulatory constraint preventing it from reaching 100%. If they do happen to achieve 100%, what external event will cause it to drop back to less than? Some new law, a fringe scenario, or changes to...
