It's funny that I'm seeing this article today because I literally had FSD save me from a side collision when traffic was stopped and I was in a turning lane. Since I am in a Model 3 and it sits low relative to the SUVs and pickup trucks that were stopped, I didn't see the car at all. However, the traffic had stopped and left a gap for turning vehicles. The person using the gap to turn didn't think to stop and check for traffic before proceeding slowly through the opening. I was only going about 20 mph when the car popped into my line of sight, but FSD had already noticed it and began braking slowly and eventually slammed on the brakes. Needless to say, I was saved by FSD in more ways than one. Now I don't have to deal with insurance—thank you, Tesla!

I honestly can't wait for FSD V15 and see just how much things will improve. According to previous sayings, the jump in improvement should be similar to what we experienced going from v13 to v14, if not more. It would be fantastic if that holds true, and they are able to add things like pothole avoidance and better end‑of‑destination handling.

only for hw4’s and Fsd 15.1 without hw4.5 or hw5 will ultimately be limited.

The safest predictive tech features and cool UI will require hw4.5/ AI5.

AI 3 is almost phased out, I say 4 is running close behind-like 2027 we will start to see software updates with 4.5 only.

Nice. I’ve had 2 separate occasions where my S started moving to the left because someone coming up on my from behind and to the right started drifting into my lane. I *did not* see them doing that either time. Can’t say there would have been contact for sure, but reviewing the video there was a good chance in one of them. That one I was taking An off ramp from a highway (so a single lane) and a single lane frontage road comes up on the right to make 2 lanes.

Not sure accidents falls into fun times, glorifying near death crashes and reminders of bad drivers are everywhere is not my idea of fun.

U can and absolutely have to wait. Too much controls is not always a good think. The entire philosophy of autonomous driving
