And so it begins-1 step forward for mankind 2 giant steps backward for Tesla.

Finding loopholes in the regulations is not the blueprint to success.

NHTSA will find something and give law makers stricter rules to enforce.

No way is mass deployment going to happen for individual ownership any time soon

This is normal procedure when a company releases a product that they have self‑certified. Nothing wrong with it.

Ya I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with SELF CERTIFICATION especially where public safety is concerned but me and a little organization call NHTSA totally disagree with workaround tactics to push a product out.

There are no shortcuts where lives are at stake. Brakes have to function correctly each and every single time, not 93,96, 99.9 percent of the time.

NHTSA is doing their job for a reason, they don’t roll some dice and if it comes up odd they investigate. They responded cause someone was concerned.

History has shown us anytime someone introduces a product that’s not quite ready for mass deployment class action lawsuits follow. Self certification screams investigation……NHTSA makes the rules.

If your under some sort of disillusion that individuals will be able to buy cybercabs anytime soon, I’m going to pop that bubble right now. The ports don’t support ac charging, the regulators will not allow no steering wheel, no brakes, no side mirrors, no speedometer vehicles to be operated on the roads.

There whole insurance thing not even close to being resolved, charging hubs, central hubs, self cleaning stations, not even built yet, Fsd 15, hw5 too new, lots of bugs, cabs not even near mass deployment production, and on and on the list goes.

You can’t be that blind to honesty think they can seriously by pass all of that without NHTSA approval ?. That’s not how reality works.
