This is fantastic news! I've always wondered why they didn't do this with the capability that even FSD v13 had, but I suppose it is better to introduce it now with a much better v14 and future versions. That said, I still really wish that it would also work for things like running stop signs or red lights.

This is what Mercedes had 18 months ago or more-a twist on their collaboration mode. I hope it also works both ways-while in Fsd the driver can temporarily take over to avoid a hazard where Fsd did not foresee and then Fsd is re-engaged.

Lots of other car manufacturers have their version of crash avoidance features far superior to Tesla.

Sad to see a life saving feature is locked behind a pay wall. Apparently they can put a price on your life.
