I dislike that the article doesn't go into detail about how exactly they are accomplishing this range increase. Like what exactly did they change? What kind of tires are they using and how does the aero cover play into it? How much does each aspect increase range? For example, is the different tire compound 5% of the range increase, while the aero cover is the other 2%? Is this something that can be added or done to existing cars to increase range? There are so many questions that are left out and could have been answered.

If I’m getting 400 miles range at 42psi then I should get 800 at 84 psi, right? I’m kidding of course but I think one of the Out of Spec guys did this with a Silverado to double its range!

I saw that video! It was a great and entertaining watch. As a small side note, I did notice a minor range improvement when I swapped the OEM Hankook Ventus S1 All-Season tires that came with my Model 3 LR AWD to the Hankook iON EVO All-Season tires. It also made the car a bit quieter and the road a bit less bumpy-feeling, but it definitely isn't as performance-oriented as my previous set. By performance I mean that you can't push it as hard before you lose traction, especially in things like rain or snow. But if you just drive like normal and within the speed limit, they are mostly fine.

For highway driving in a straight line, ideal and for the testing, but for city driving: frequent stop an go, lots of acceleration variations, constant turns, braking, etc I’m sure the “increased range” is minimal.

Good find! I have to say, I definitely never heard of that brand, but they are apparently available in the US. Maybe they made a specific tire for Tesla that they don't normally sell.

Hmmm not sure all these unknown brands meet regulatory standards. I’m all for saving a few dollars but not when it comes a brand that few people heard of.

I think this falls under the buyer beware category.
