But why? Why not just allow riders to control the air vent direction straight from the display in the car? This seems like an overly complicated thing to do, especially when you can just have them set it once in the vehicle and then it remembers that setting for any future rides.

That said, I've also wondered since I got my Model 3, why they don't allow you to control the air vents in the Tesla app, especially whether or not the rear are enabled BEFORE you even get in.
