Looks like FSD has been approved in Denmark today

It’ll be interesting to try it out if Denmark gets a 30-day free trial like they did in the Netherlands, but I most likely won’t be paying 750 DKK a month for what they’re asking

On Tuesday, electric car manufacturer Tesla received approval from the Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency to roll out its FSD Supervised self-driving system in Denmark.

The Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency confirmed this to TV 2.

The system enables the car to drive itself. Among other things, it can assist with acceleration, braking, steering, and lane changes.

The system was approved in the Netherlands in April and may now also be used in Denmark, according to a press release from the Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency.

For now, this applies only to EU countries that choose to recognize the Dutch approval.

“After a thorough review and assessment of the technical documentation, the Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency agrees with the RDW’s assessment that the system will contribute positively to road safety because it assists the driver while driving,” the press release states.

I told myself the same thing when I originally bought my 2024 Model 3 LR: "I won't pay $100 a month for something that requires me to watch it." Here I am 2 years later, and I've been subscribed for nearly a year and a half after version 13 originally released. It really is extremely useful for me because I do a lot of driving, and most of it is commuting. It allows me to get to my job way more relaxed and rested.

I suspect that once the rollout of FSD has a lot more coverage in Europe, prices may change based on region and country. That could definitely make it a lot less expensive depending on where you are.

Congrats on the FSD approval in Denmark! This helps alot in getting the rest of Europe to do the same move. Tell us if it works great Also, do you have a HW3 or HW4 Vehicle? Would be interesting to see if they offer you the subscription even if we are not eligible to receive fsd before V14 lite

2024 Model 3 LR DM, so it’s an HW4 without the front bumper camera.

I see they’ve started rolling out 2026.17.5 in Denmark, so we’ll get 14.2.2.6 to start with

I hope they’re just as quick to offer 30 free days in Denmark as they were in the Netherlands, but we’ll have to wait and see

It was a very very short trial period, I've driven exactly 0 km using it



I see others are having the same bug too, even those who paid for it.

That looks like a backend issue that they will resolve fairly quickly. I'm sure they want as many people doing the trial and then subscribing as quickly as possible.

Of course it was, and it's been fixed today
It’s also perfect that the first trip is today, electricity is cheap, and I have plenty of time tonight, so I can supervise the car while it's driving

The standard autosteer is getting pretty good, but you can tell they've put a lot more time and resources into the FSD stack, but not good enough to justify paying $116 a month for it based on my usage, if it were half the price, I’d consider it, but I’ll probably keep using it as long as it’s free

I had a couple of totally random phantom braking episodes, with no other cars or people around the car, It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced that with Autosteer, I can usually predict when Autosteer is going to do it, about 10-15 seconds before it happens

One of the things I was most interested in seeing how it handled was all the traffic calming measures we have, such as one side of the road being blocked so that only one car can pass and “2 minus 1 roads” both of which are common on the smaller roads in my local area, and it handled them really well, even with other cars around

That's fair, if I didn't drive as much as I do, I probably wouldn't be able to justify the price either. Just last month I did a little under 3,000 miles because of 2 trips and my daily commute.

It seems they're a little confused about when my trial period expires.
The car says 16 and 3 days, and shortly after those two photos were taken, I got an email from Tesla saying it expires today, July 12, 2026


I've driven 1,524 km (947 mi) with it out of a total of 1,640 km during the trial period. It’s generally been a good experience But it’s done something illegal twice, and at one point I had a “panic attack” in the middle of a roundabout where the “path planner” switched very quickly between two exits and the steering wheel followed its movements on the screen, it must have looked crazy from the outside with the front wheels jerking back and forth, causing the whole car to sway
I took over after a few seconds because there were other cars around me, if there hadn't been, it would have been interesting to see what it would have ended up doing.
I think the version we have here runs on the “sloth” profile, because it often runs below the set maximum speed even though it has been set to an offset of +5% and there's no option to change the speed profile on the EU version.


But my conclusion is the same: it's too expensive relative to how much I drive for me to want a recurring subscription, but it generally works really well, and I'll probably buy it a couple of times a year when major updates are released
